The reasons would surely be related to the fact that those parties are tagged as "Non performing" Parties, I suspect INEC seeing them as a "wasting space" bunch. Putting one and two together, I don't think I have seen any serving politician with any of those parties mentioned tagged to them, but is this action by INEC really democratic or ethical?

Wow! I don't think I have heard of most of the aforementioned parties before. Good one, anyway.

Linda, u should know better...parties who dont meet certain requirements including winning a number of sits and constituencies are to be delisted says our constitution....this is to guard against people just registering parties to enjoy the allocations given by government during elections

To know the reason(s) the parties were de-rgistered, do your bit by checking up the laws referred to by INEC for deregustering them. This way, we will all be learning and contributing our bits to nation bulding.

I woke up this morning and have every reason to be angry again due to the situation in my country,Nigeria.
I woke up everyday to listen to the news, both local and international, ranging from Politics, sport, foriegn affairs and

many others. But what hurts me most is the issue of my country, then some of the rest of the warring world.
You may not know it because there's no physical bloodshed. But there's a war going on in Nigeria and it has been on

for a very long time now. You hear the people in power telling you everyday, they want corruption to come to an end

in the country, something they know is not possible. They use that as an excuse to hold Nigerian for a very long time

now. After the last military regime in Nigeria, that was Abacha's regime,Nigerians have not know proper

peace, everything became worse and worst it has become now. Then, there was no Boko Harams, now we have

them, then there was no efcc, now we have them, the police corruption and indecent attitude has increased, most

above all dear. The people are being threated as if they are still in the military regime. No freedom of speech, the

medias are afraid to speak, corrupt officials everywhere, the Nigerian forces can't oppose because they are affraid of

being accused of setting up a coup. The rich corrupt officials keep getting richer, the ones that mistakenly step on

wrong toes are set off the game, the poor citizens keep getting poorer, lack of proper education.

Nigerian Governement does not support or encourage positive growth in it's citizens except you can work your way to

that lather of success in what ever way you can. Not in term of education nor anything as I can see. No standby

electricity,no good roads/driving rules, the sense of poverty has eaten deep into the brain of the people and I doubt if

any poor man is moving forward, except for those that can carry out their dirty jobs. No good electricity, you have to

fight hard to fuel your Generator set,you cannot put it on all through the night,Robbery at night in most of the

cities,No good free adult education for the Nigerian people, the Goverment tertiary schools are not encouraging and

even the cost of Higher instutions in Nigeria is huge sum. Most of those Universities are owned by the same men of

God that preech to you about God everyday. In fact, the politician corrupted Nigeria and the so called men of God

took advantage of the poor citizen, knowing fully well everyone needs a miracle and the people desparate to

survive. The policticians are the richest in Nigeria, followed by your men of God. The General oversears are like the

President in the Game, while the follower act accordingly.

There are corruption everywhere, even in the United States and every part of the world. But they are doing quite

well, they give citizens right to good education, adult education, proper medical care, good works, good electricity, good

roads and so on.The U.S is so concerned about it's citizens. But everything seems the opposite in my country. Can't someone tell those Politicians and so called men of God the truth ? If they can't see, someone should at least be honest with them, tell them the truth to their faces.

Very good decision there. Many of those parties don't produce any serving leader even @ the local level so they need to be wipe out. They are causing nuisance and costing inec money cos i learnt they do provide fund. In the nutshell, our electoral laws need to be review even before the next election in other not to accommodate non-functioning parties. Funny parties with funny names. INEC did this same exercise some years ago. I think it's becoming a normal thing now.

IMO(not too sure), I think parties can be de-registered if they have no candidate in any elective position or not having a regular update with INEC regarding their activities.

why na they left out Dele Momodu's fake party National Conscience Party (NCP),please they should add it and make it number 29
