The veteran actor was said to have sustained some kind of injury last year, and because he didn't take proper care of it, it led to serious infection that became hard to treat. The injury was said to have degenerated to a sore and because Mr Eneh was diabetic, it refused to heal. He spent three months at the hospital before he was advised to amputate the leg before the infection spread to other parts of his body.
The amputation took place on Wednesday October 24th after all efforts to save the leg was unsuccessful. Pete Eneh is said to be dealing with it well.

Lord have mercy. I pray he recovers soon, I used to wonder why people take leg injury too seriously until recently. Not long ago I fell inside gutter for night and I just scrapped my leg, it wasn't even deep, I did not take it serious, the 3rd day I started seeing pores that's when I called mumsy! She was mad, she said where she comes from if an adult falls down and get injured on the leg, its either a calamity or a warning, and that apart from the supersticious aspect, if I don't take care of it, it can turn to something else! no wonder when me and my siblings were in primary school she was always inspecting our body for wound because we no go talk. I was just wondering is it not just a small scrape on the leg! . I never used to see a wound in d leg as anything till a family friend of mine also died cus she didn't take care of a sore. If u don't take care of it, it becomes something else. I think people should no about it and not claim ignorance like I did! No matter how small the wound is in the leg, go and treat it! No be rub go solve am.

Complications of Diabetes mellitus! I thank God it wasn't worse than this and that he took medical advice soon enough.
I hope this would challenge others to take more serious care of themselves health wise. I know its quite a popular practice in our dear country, Nigeria, not to bother about our health until it sends us to the hospital.
