Anon 2:24 am is right. US 4 is UK 8. Add two sizes re equally right. Since there re no sizes like 5 or 7 then the two sizes u have add is 6 and 8.
Well in the fashion world, US size 4 and above is said to be curvy. Only a few designers have dared break this rule. That's why the battle between haute couture and ready-to-wear has been on going for centuries.
