This is very hard to answer, but I would think it should be the females, we tend to want a lot of things, most of which we don't need, especially when something is in vogue n we wanna av it cos everyone one has it, n later when we use it we just put it aside n start chasing something else in vogue.
To me, I believe women spend more on items dey later regret...e.g ME...on thursday,I went shopping and trust me mehn, I regretted buying somefns bt I've tried my possible best nt to think about it..lol
I will usemyself as example, its the guy, my guy spend alot he does not think about next minute.
Imagine, he does not matter which ATM machine he is withdrawing from, He uses Zenith Bank, he can withdraw from GTB or other bank without checking if there is Zenith around! Imagine the 100 naira deduction from GTB etc at any withdrawal.
he can buy wine of 2,000 for 5k, buy energy deink of 150 for 500 naira.
me as a lady, I reason well before i spend because, I work for this money.
i dont by make up that are not needed, dresses that r too expensive, I price wel well , my guy does nt price, inshort he waste money, on what we dnt need most time.

Having been into counsellling of young people and couples, I can say that though individual differences matter, each sex has its way of spending. Men spend BIg on single items and feeding while women spend much in many items especially fashion including beauty products. But we need a scientific measurement to determine who spends more in different contexts.

When I saw the cost of his wristwatches and shoes I wanted to faint. Even my parents don,t spend half as much on those items. It differs though but in my opinion guys spend a lot
Hehehehe, iam guilty of this too, now what I do is to give away clothes & shoes I have not used within 1year or so; if its kitchen appliances I wrap it in addition to other things and present as gift during weddings or give to missions. It makes me feel better when I get rid of the excess

Well except if i am buying a luxury bag. I go shopping every other week and shop in bits online every week and get a bunch of stuffs with only $200 but my husband only shops like once in six months but spends big at once on either electronics, a new car, shoes, wrist watch or suits. so at the end of the day everything adds up.
