Last na last.
but come o!
Nigeria has not won any medal at the London Olympics..please tell them to introduce new games like stealing public funds, bomb planting, gossipping, kidnapping, formula 1 in traffic jam, cutting of human head etc
so that we can pick Gold medals quick quick. We cant afford to be embarrased like ds.
I am really proud of this babe...
She realy tried.i appreciate her for at least being in the final
Linda, ur very right!, some pple jst condemn her cos she came last!, jst ntin more dan 2 seconds behind d winner, the race was a very tight 1, n besides there was news bout she having leg pains at d semi final race...word!
Nice try, nt easy at all. J.luv!
She is a great sprinter. Her only problem is her late start. With more training on her start, she is only going to get better. Proud of her
Must be the weave on......
How unfortunate that you chose to qualify her efforts at qualifying in the 100m finals so... She might not have won a medal but she has represented her country to the best of her capability which is all we can ask for. Well done Blessing!!!
first of all linda she is top 8 in the world this is so good. Now is de ja vi all over again. You can not perform magic 3 weeks to olympics nigerian government should stop playing and toying with sports.
I am PROUD of Blessing Okagbare. Despite coming from a country that does NOT invest in the athletics, she went out there and did her best. Our performance at the Olympics is a reflection of the depressing state of our nation. I am mourning our disastrous future. Blessing, YOU ROCK! HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH!!!!
Considering the fact that her preparedness is probably less than 10% of what these winning countries invest due to our unpatriotic government, I say she's a winner.
You go girl!!!
congrats blessing
wendu
Chaii! Wat was Blessing thinking abt? Her Poor start was a spiritually manipulated! Lili! Ask blessing she will tell u exactly dis! U cld clearly see dat o bu gu eyan fu! Meaning:it wasn't ordinary! We need divine spiritual Cleasing in dis coun3! Wat a pity 2 Medal-less Team nigeria! Dey don turn trophy-less ARSENAL! PSSNM
It was really a closely-contested race as the difference between the first, Shelly-Ann, and the last, our own Blessing, wasn't much. We still dey try!
Jamaican's just keep coming first for this particular game... usain bolt, then that other fine guy, then this girl too. smh. they are taking all that slavery anger out to the track and i just looove them (by them i mean the guys).
click my name to visit my blog on amazing interior decor and more.
Blessing did a good job and in the semi finals she finished in 10.92 beating US, Jamaica and Trinidad amongst others. in a country where there is little development in the sports sector, our athletes are self trained and doing their best. good job Blessing! u try!!!!
u r still a champion my dear!
LMAO @ #lastmathings! Bad girl! LOL
She tried considering. Well done.
I no fit laugh, Linda be like na only me like amebo...I just got up this morning and the first thing i did was open your blog... Nigeria always in the news for the wrong reasons
Y are u not uploading comment!!!!!!! Dis site is becoming boring.
Well she TRY!..case closed....Niyinugar says so!
Someone must come last nah!
Nigerians aint good at nothing no more...except CORRUPTION
2008 Olympic bronze medalist representing the same country in 100metres dash 4yrs later
2008 Olympic bronze medalist in long jump representing the same country in 100metres dash 4yrs later
She did good. It was definitely a close race but no matter how close, there must be a winner. I just wish she wouldn't be criticized by some lunatics back home.
she try sha, e no easy
No adequate facilities,no good preparations.Wetin you go get?"Charcoal medal"
She try jooor, last no be position? Hehehe
Her start was bad and she hesitated....she even dust the chick that came second in heats. She try sha
The girl really tried but I wasn't impressed with the final race as it didn't appear she gave it her best! Nigerian government need to do more for our athletes to be more. Preparations need to start now for the next Olympic. Why can't we be on the medal table?

Last na Last abeg Linda! Who says naija no dey carry last??? Hehehehe
Nigeria..dey always surprise me
PAlways appreciate effortsss linda..ask your government to restore public schools old values, that's where we can fish out talents
I still luv her tho...atleast,she was among d finalists
It least she came 1st frm back. Mayb she had sex b4 d race. *winks*
I salute the young lady. She tried.
11.01 sec is really fast. Actually the female sprinters this time around are really very fast. Most of them made the sprint in less than 11 secs.
I wonder what they are all eating these days.
Linda ur so quick 2 report d negative. Were u sleeping wen homegirl led her semis in 1st place, surpassing her personal best in 10.95? Pls Nigerians let's try 2 support our own. Blessing is an amazing and accomplished woman, with potential 2 be great in athletics. As for thOse of u claiming USA and Great Britain cos of medals, God is watching u. #Team Blessing...NELO
THE GLORY DAYS OF NIGERIAN OLYMPICS IS GONE...OUR GOVT HAS REFUSED TO INVEST TIME AND MONEY IN TRAINING YOUNG BUDDING TALENTS..THEY WOULD RATHER SQUANDER AND LOOT THE COUNTRY'S VAULTS...HOW CAN A COUNTRY MARRED WITH CORRUPTION, DIABOLISM, RANCOUR, AND BITTER SQUABBLES AMOUNT TO ANYTHING GOOD??? GONE ARE THE DAYS OF THE INNOCENT EGBUNIKE, CHIDI IMOH, FALILAT OGUNKOYA, AND MARY ONYALI..
INSTEAD OF GETTING BETTER WE ARE GETTING WORSE...LOOK AT A SMALL ISLAND LIKE JAMAICA CHURNING OUT THE BEST ATHLETES... THE CREAM OF THE CROP...THEY VALUE TRACK AND FIELD AND INVEST HEAVILY ON A SPORT THEY ARE GOOD AT!!! NIGERIA NEEDS TO DO THE SAME WITH THEIR UNENDING RESOURCES...A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE!!!
Mehn that was a shocking performance, does it mean the others were running to qualify so they could use the remaining energy to finish the race.
Blessing was on a 10:93 and co. How did she drop to 11. hmmmmm. Not to happy oooo.
Well she did her best. Last is neva a position any1 wishes for
THIS GIRLS HAS LOADS OF UNEXPLORED TALENT,SHE NEEDS A BETTER TRAINING ROUTINE,IT IS A SHAME THAT HER STARTS WERE NOT WORKED ON WELL ENOUGH,HER POOR STARTS IS HER ONLY DOWNFALL WHICH IS SIMILAR TO USAIN BOLTS PROBLEM,IF SHE HAS BETTER SUPPORT I AM CONFIDENT SHE CAN BEAT 10.75 SECS EASILY AND AGAIN SHE NEEDS TO BE MORE CONFIDENT OF HERSELF,SHE NEEDS A SPORTS PSYCHOLOGIST TO BOOST HER CONFIDENCE MORE...I AM VERY SAD THAT SHE DID NOT END UP WITH A MEDAL,THIS IS THE SAME GIRLS WHO BEAT CARMELITA JETER AND SHELLY-ANN FRASE PRYSE ONLY WEEKS AGO IN AN ATHLETIC FINAL IN LONDON.THIS IS JUST SAD I AM OVERWHELMED WITH EMOTION RIGHT NOW
The girl try. E no easy. Meanwhile, did you know that Usain Bolt's great great grand father is from Warri, Delta State!
last is last no matter how fast she was, meaning there some people finished less than that thats why she was the last. poor her
Lmao! I thot the same thing too.
If i have to give my own timing , i think she lost about 3-5seconds , she started some few seconds late , i do not really expect the gun to go as at the time it went off , not withstanding Blessing is a Blessing to Nigeria i feel for her.
she tried.

lol @ Bloglord, babe u no try o!
No mind her...after she go dey ask why negative gist spreads faster...hypocrisy at its best.

4whr? If person dey wait make naija invest in sports wit dis kin leaders,hmmmn......,e b like say u dey wait make bread fall 4m heaven again
lol....very fuuny bt i think we will do well in dose field o ¤wink¤
Lmao @ "its d weavon". Me sef no understand d weavon.buh let's fce it,considerin d state of our nation ds gurl 2 try.kudos hun n put mre efforts.
Blessing has really tried. Maybe she should be competing in longer races like 200m and above. Her height and slow start makes the 100m race hard for her. But she does have a strong finish. Go Blessing!Don't give up.
Sad to see Blessing loose. Anyways, let's hope she can still contribute in the relays.

Typing in caps is disturbing to the eyes...I did not read those comments written in caps throughout. Whatch it pls
WELL DONE BLESSING!
KEEP AT IT!!
You great Inspiration.
Since the contigent could't get any medal so pls let the officials pull off their coats and go in 4 the remaining events so that they can give us some medals
Blessing better luck next time dat is life made up of the good and bad luv ya
She has tried, our government don't invest in sports,u can't reap where u did't sow.It could be that d poor girl has been sponsoring her sell all through her training period for years, our gov would only show little interest close to an event, feeding d poor girl with eba and fufu,so na like that she go take win, food that lacks nutrient.
Pls give the girl a break for some reason she started slow and she did that in her qualifying race as well I think she will do better in a 200m she should train for that.

Please and Please, I really think its high time we start celebrating our own.I watched all Blessing's races and I think she is indeed Nigeria's Champion so far. She put in her best. The finals start list was really tough. She ran well. Go Blessing!!
All Hope is not lost . Blessing rep Nigeria so well , her efforts will help us secure a medal in the 4 x 100 m relays . Congrats blessing !
