Yes o. It is better to be checked than dead. I cannot remember when last I took a bag to church, what's the point when no bag is allowed inside the church premises. These days in Abuja, you just pick up your Bible and handset, Period. You also have to come to church with a hardcover Bible. No switching on of phones even to read soft copy Bibles, so that no one sends out text messages from the church. Mind you, the church check points can keep you outside until late, so if you want to make it early to church, you just have to leave the house earlier than usual. Even ladies' purses must be opened. B. H. has made going to church very stressful in Abuja.

You do not tempt God by not taking precautions. The churches also use armed police men to patrol the area and have metal detectors and scanners. The searching process is dumb. Suppose a suicide bomber detonates a bomb right there. the casualty would certainly be high. It is better for members to be told to leave handbags at home while coming to church
