Not all europe countries celebrate mothers day together. I live in Germany and Mothers day was celebrated yesterday and it coincides with communion day (First timer) in the catholic church. I guess nigeria celebrates with britain which was celebrated in march

This year the one for catholics came a week after the one for anglicans.

Guys don't be confused, i know this comment is coming in late but i could help ,make y'all understand the difference. The one celebrated in May is Women's day which is originally celebrated in Europe because, Europeans value women and then Americans followed suit, then the rest of the world did. Hence Women's day, while what we celebrated last weekend is Mother's day. Remember not every Woman is a Mother, so it's important to celebrate both days.
There's the British one in Mar and the American one in May. I don't know one naija falls into. We just dey tag along......(kidding). But, we had ours in March, was surprise to see post of mother's day again couple of days ago. @Eclat Rentals
