Fabrice Muamba discharged from hospital

Muamba (middle) with the doctors who saved his life
Fabrice Muamba, the Bolton midfielder who suffered cardiac arrest while playing a match last month, was yesterday discharged from the London Chest Hospital.

Muamba collapsed during the first half of Bolton's FA Cup quarter-final tie on March 17th and for 78 minutes, the 24-year-old's heart stopped. Doctors managed to get his heart pumping again. He was discharged yesterday following several weeks of treatment.

I'm happy for him and his family too. Like a yoruba adage says, God still needs his life! I'm just imagining if that incident happened on a football pitch in Nigeria...that guy would have been a goner. I hope he learns a lesson and appreciates life better. Not everybody gets a second chance to live!

Would be interesting to hear his thoughts on what it felt like during those 78 minutes. wonder if he had any out of body experience?

I'm happy for him. Not many people get a second chance to live, so he'd better be grateful and appreciate life more.

Fantastic news! That smile is so gorgeous.
Royal Attah he's been fitted with a defibrillator so he can go back to playing (Kanu has one too.)

Also, the guy on his right should be given loads of free tickets from both Spurs and Bolton. He's the Spurs fan who ran on the pitch from the stands, helped and said he should be taken to the London Chest Hospital instead of North Mid. He's an angel of some sort.
