The deportees were flown into Nigeria in the early hours of the day in a chattered aircraft. They also included 47 males and 11 females who were received and screened at the cargo terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by the officials from the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).
An immigration source, who pleaded anonymity, said they were deported for immigration related offences. Some of the deportees who spoke with NAN alleged that most of them were picked up by the police in Britain and found out that their visa’s had expired. - Vanguard

Lol@ Linda 'welcome home guys!' you're funny...
O ma se ooo!*sighs* we don increase by 61 again!
They should send all of them back to Nigeria.
To be frank, they are probably better off in Nigeria. Because being here without a visa does not allow one a peace of mind. You can't do any sensible work, you see the police car and you are running everytime, you can't travel in or out. That is not life! Even people with proper paper self are struggling to find work these days.
I will advice them to just settle back in Nigeria very quickly and find things to do. Afterall, home will be home, and they will never have to be afraid of immigration in their own land. It is well sha!
Abeg how them take catch them ohh, make i tell my people for that side make them dey watchful ohh
Too funny.
a charter flight? i really wonder the discussions were like on flight.....
@Tycoon!
You spoke my mind.Even here in America, you need to see Nigerians flocking home...and I am not talking of illegal ones. I am talking of Nigerians with US citizenship. With the global economic meltdown, this is not the time to be living in other people's countries.The truth is, people are suffering here abroad. Some Nigerians are committing suicide and the likes. There is money to be made back home if only people are willing to work as hard as they work here abroad.
LOL @ "welcome home guys"
That made me laugh:)
who cares? if they are illegal, they should go home, so why is this news?
