Beyonce Talks Fela

Beyonce talks Fela Kuti in a recent Billboard interview:
“I recorded more than 60 songs: everything I ever wanted to try, I just did it. I started off being inspired by Fela Kuti. I actually worked with the band from “Fela!” for a couple of days, just to get the feel for the soul and heart of his music; it’s so sexy, and has a great groove you get lost in. I loved his drums, all the horns, how everything was on the one. What I learned most from Fela was artistic freedom: he just felt the spirit.”
Fela's music is sexy? lol. I heart Beyonce so much!

Linda, why are you wondering if Fela's music is sexy? Have you ever really listen to the music...not the lyrics which are very politically charge...I mean just to the notes, melody, rhythm...those drums, the horns? Fela's music speaks the primal instinct in us, if one opens oneself to just listen with your heart, soul and spirit, it can kiss awake your inner sexy. Beyonce is definitely right.

Linda so it takes Beyonce to remind you Fela's music is sexy? What do you think our men were listening to when they want to romance their women, lol.
Anyway Beyonce always does this she uses whomever she can to hype up her music saying they inspired her and then you hear her stuff and there is no said inspiration in her music.

5.33pm - does feeling sexy have only to do with sex? One can feel sexy without having to be in a bedroom or get down with one's partner. I speak for myself when I say that when I dance to Fela's music, I feel very sexy, it makes me move in a sexy way especially if my husband is watching me dance at a party to his music then we go home and put on the babymaking music...not that we need anymore with twins at home LOL.

Sexy doesn't always equal SEX. Sexy is that inner feeling of being beautiful and desirable with your clothes on.

She is so dumb

Linda, Fela's music is not sexy but FUNKY.

Linda, Not to sound rude but you kinda sounded dumb by saying his music is sexy. Sometimes you should think twice before posting in your blog.

FUNK does not equal sexy

Ohhhhhh, Beyonce has spoken. The rate at which people worship this woman is beyond me.
Beyonce thinks everything is sexy, I bet she probably thinks Africa is a country.
