18 days into protest, Egypt's president refuses to step down...

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak stunned protesters in Cairo and proved numerous reports wrong yesterday Thursday when he announced in a televised speech that he would not step down from the presidency or leave the country. Instead, he handed his powers over to Vice President Omar Suleiman.

Mubarak's surprising and confusing announcement raises numerous questions about what is happening in Egypt.

Defiant at his best! At 82 and after 30 years what does the "last Pharaoh still want?" I don't think the people will back down until he leaves. It'll all be a wasted effort if they do. Dead or alive, he'll be out before September.

What if all hereditary monarchs, despots, dictators & corrupt governments around the world are simultaneously YouTubed, Tweeted & Face-booked out? What if.... Will the world be a better place? What if... Or is there Mubarak or Bin Laden inside each and every one of us? He's gone...Corrupt and rotten Mubarak needed time to pack his loot. Thank God he's gone, .....hopefully Osama Bin Laden (USA and UK) doesn't take over Egypt.
