Full Nominees List for The Future Awards Unveiled! Reception holds December 19!

Great list...the only thing strange about it is the nominees ages. Teju Baby Face is 27 years old? lol. Teju was in his final year when I got into the university 12 years ago. Plus I heard him tell Jay Jay Okocha yesterday on his TV show that he is 31years old. And Banky W is 29? Ridiculous!...:-)
Anyway, check out the full list of nominees and tell us what you think...

The Future Awards, Nigeria’s most influential youth event, after unveiling its spectacular Young Person of the Year nominees has week, has now released the full Nominees List for all 21 categories.
Voting begins immediately! The voting numbers are 33120 for Nigeria and 80079 for the UK and Canada According to the organisers, voting takes only 50% of the first stage of judging, so winners are not selected by voting popularity – there is a 4-stage judging process involving a Board of Judges and an Independent Audit Committee headed by veteran journalist Dr. Reuben Abati.  There is also a two week-period for members of the public to make complaints about any of the nominees to awards Central Working Committee (CWC). Please send complaints to info@thefuturenigeria.com.

All the nominees will be celebrated at an invitation-only media and VIP Nominees Reception on Sunday December 19, 2010 – where they will also be inducted into the elite The Future Alumni Network. The event will also be an opportunity to raise money for Love on the Streets, an NGO working with disadvantaged children of the Dustbin Estate, Lagos.

The ages are totally ridiculous and a mass fraud. But then Linda i wonder why you are still in 20's too coz in 2002 when i use to come to your room with uteri at Queen Amina hall, i was told you are 24!

It's very possible Banky is 29. He doesn't look that old.

I don't know about the others, but Banky is definitely 29! Why is that surprising Linda? You thought he is older?

I think people are forgetting why TEJU is being refer to as 'Babyface'. This has caused an argument between me & some of my friends.
I think Teju should should come out & clarify this.
Teju! since when?

Laughing my African behind off at some of the ages. That is the problem with Nigerians, we can't tell the truth even if our lives depended on it. Chude Jideonwo and his crew are too lazy to do independent research on some of these ages. It just make the whole thing laughable. TEJU is an Agbaya

And please, Uche Jombo is 31 OMG. She is now same age with Genevieve who is actually 3 years younger than she claims. This award is supposed to be different but it just shows that there is still no hope for change in nigeria. We are unrepentant liars - the majority of us that is. Teju Baby face 31 indeed

saw this list on BN and i was stunned at ages of some of the nominees. Teju Babyface especially...na wa o...

Another question is 31 the maximum age?

Congratulations to ALL.

@anon 1:10am.. i turned 30 september 19th this year. I never lie about my age...

Nigerian Film and TV Addict said...

haha teju should be a bit more than 27, remeMber seeing him in Diamond Ring with RMD and Liz Benson, he did look young but he was definitely more than 15 in that movie, and Diamond ring came out in 1997/1998. uche jombo is the same age or older than rita...she was with 50-something yr old Nobert Young...uche might be older than Rita, she's been acting for a long time. i believe banky's age, not sure about don jazzy tho.

Banky is 29, he was a yr younger than me back in the days when he used to talk to a good friend of mine in the US, when we were all in undergrad.
