Raw Sex and The City in Church.

A Lagos based pastor, Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House On The Rock, has banned all minors from going to his church next Sunday where he will be preaching on “raw sex”. Adefarasin was reported as saying men and women will attend separate services same day, because men and women cannot listen to the same message.

Raw sex??? I'm thinking about showing up there next Sunday...:-)

This is the problem with Nigeria and the African continent.
The only way to stop the spread of STDs is to talk openly about sex and sexually transmitted diseases.
We need to stop seeing talking about sex as taboo but more as educational.

Why do men and women need to attend different services??? Do men and women have sex separately?

I was at a similar service years ago and it was a blessing, to say the least. At the end of service, he had prayers and deliverance sessions for people with all kinds of sex-related issues... addictions, rape victims, etc. See grown-ass men crying at the end of service.

I guess the services are held separately to make people comfortable with coming out in the open for deliverance and owning up to problems.

M-Ann, I see why there would be separate services for men & women when it comes to sex. For the most part we view (and use) sex differently.

Sex is not a laughing matter o!
it has and still is destroying lives.
Both married and single persons have been yoked by sex.
It is not a laughing matter at all.
Most of us have just decided to accept our depravity as normal.
That is the sad part.
Even some pastors need deliverance.

when he's done addressing that issue,he should also hold a forum with his senior pastor(s) who engage in adultery...........especially with younger females!!

then hold deliverance for him(them) too!

its a fact!!

One of the mistakes we normally make n Nigeria about sex education is the belief that there is an age cap to who should or should not be educated about sex. While there is no biblical justification for the extent the Pastor is trying to go on the issue, I dont think we should make a fuss about it. In the UK, children as young as 8 years are being educated about sex, 12 years and above are given condoms and are fully aware about the topic. This is just a way to create unnecessary publicity of something that even a ten year old girl knows about in Lagos. I can bet it that some under 18 can even lecture the pastor about what he is trying to hide from them……….. “working so hard to secure the future for my children”…. hmmm at whose expense? Tithe and offering collection of course. God save the poor!
