He got a red card for violently kicking out at Vasilas Torosidis in the 33rd minute and it's by far one of the silliest fouls/tackles I've ever seen in my life. Totally uncalled for and such behaviour should not be tolerated.
This is what he did...
With Nigeria up 1-0 after an early goal, Kaita and Torosidis came together in an awkward clash as they both chased down a wayward ball and Torosidis collected it for a throw in. Torosidis made like he was going to shove the ball at Kaita, who almost reflexively kicked out at the Greek defender, grazing his leg with his foot. Well, Torosidis made the most of it and went to the ground with dramatic flair to be sure the referee saw what happened. He did and Kaita was sent off.

People are being too harsh on the guy sha. Yah he kicked out in anger but it hardly connected and the guy maximized it. That referee was just overzealous, a yellow would have sufficed.
But yeah, kaita will be remembered for a long time. Especially if we leave the world cup after only the group stage.
abeg Kaita should have known that this is the world cup not street soccer. it's his fault we lost that game honestly. why did he have to get angry? in the world cup u don't want to look aggressive esp when you know the consequences

Whether or not he was sent off nigeria will have never won trhat game! it further amazes me that they even qualified!!
ah ah Anonymous 10:26, did u watch that game? the greeeks only started playing better after keita was sent off. they suddenly realized their good fortune. before that we were practically cruising.

I read him facebook page and i can imagine the kind of trauma he is going through with all the harsh comments people left him
I think coaches should emphasize anger management during training, especially for those who dont have a lot of international exposure

i think he's had enough tounge lashes. we'll gain nothing 4rm hitting at him but 4giveness and acceptance might make a better player
