Second Republic Governor of old Kano State, Alhaji Abubakar Rimi died yesterday at about 11.40pm in a Kano Hospital. Rimi was attacked by armed robbers on his way to Kano after visiting Bauchi State Govt House. His convoy drove into a road block mounted by local bandits. Rimi was said to be diabetic. The incident triggered off his blood pressure and he later died in a Kano Specialist Hospital.
