Kini Big Deal No1? + Calabar Xmas Carnival + Ovation Red Carol Night

Hi everyone, hope y'all are really enjoying this holiday season. I'm good. Been meeting some really great people, making new friends, hanging out...Not so boring anymore ;)

I've also been watching a lot of TV and noticed that most Music TV programmes and stations, from Chanel O, to MTV Base and some of our local Music TV programmes seem to agree that Naeto C's 'Kini Big Deal' is Africa/Nigeria's number one song of 08.
I love the song to bits but no1?
Here's my top 5 of 08
1. Dbanj - Suddenly
2. P-Square - No one like you
3. OJB - Pum pum
4. Soty - Malaria
5. Naeto C - Kini Big Deal
I also love 'Konikoni love' by Klever Jay...if you haven't heard that song, you need to check it out. Really nice.
Do you guys agree that Kini big deal is Nigeria's no1 song of 08?
If you don't agree then what's your no1?
Share your thoughts...

Meanwhile remember I told you all that Calabar is the place to be this Christmas? Well check out pictures from the Calabar Xmas Carnival
Seemed really fun...
Enjoy...

2. IRON MAN

5. WALL-E

6. KUNG FU PANDA
Total Gross: $215,434,591
Armed with all the right moves and an all-star voice cast, DreamWorks' unlikely kung fu hero battled his way to box office greatness, nabbing the animation studio one of its biggest, fattest, fuzziest hits yet.

Total Gross: $172,332,000

8. QUANTUM OF SOLACE
Total Gross: $161,300,000
Picking up where 2006's "Casino Royale" left off, Daniel Craig returned to action as 007 and raked in a cool sum in ticket sales, making James Bond the second most successful movie franchise behind "Star Wars."

9. TWILIGHT
Total Gross: $158,461,000
Fueled by an enthusiastic fanbase, Stephanie Meyer's hit literary phenomenon jumped from the page to the big screen to take a bite out of the annual box office, grabbing the number 9 spot during the last weeks of the year.

10. HORTON HEARS A WHO
Total Gross: $154,529,439
Featuring the voice talents of Jim Carrey and Steve Carell, and based on Dr. Seuss' storybook classic, the computer-animated Horton hit it big in March with one of the top spring opening weekends ever.

Thought of the day...
If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.

All the best to you all!
Later!

Stella Damascus is just too gorgeous for words. I rate her over many Hollywood celebs, I mean African natural beauty, not the white standard beauty like many black celebs here who try to fit it. What the heck is going on with Versace? Is it Plastic Surgery gone bad? What is her goal, is it to look like a skeleton, bcos she's already one. I'm loving Asa's album, legend in the making. There are actually many naija artists out there who are good. I'm feeling almost all of them. I like old school, jazz, R&b, but I've been hooked on Naija music, mehn especially when it's in ibo or Yoruba, naija people have talent sha. That's what I play all the time now.

abt the best song of the yr... wot happened 2 9ice? This certainly was his yr so he shld be on that list somewhere...

Stella Aboderin is too beautiful. She is definitely one who will age with grace.

As 4 Versace... it is sad that we live in a day when a stick is making clothes 4 humans 2 wear... nd they wonder why models tend 2 be anorexic... shakin my head...

kini big deal? i don't think so. don't get me wrong i like the song but not as much as a whole bunch of songs that were released in 08. Asa's jailer and fire on the mountain beat that song hands down in both audio and video. not to mention fall in love by dbanj. as for versace, i am absolutely speechless. i would prefer being 350 pounds to that. Damn thats a living skeleton right there.

kini big deal no 1? i don't think so. don't get me wrong, i like the song but there were a lot of great songs released in 08, that kini big deal doesn't stand a chance. Asa's jailer and fire on the mountain beat it hands down in both video and audio.not to mention dbanj's fall in love. as for versace damn, thats a living skeleton right there. she looked as though a little wind would blow her off the ground and did u notice that although she is skeleton like in everyother place, her boobs remain fluffed.

That pix of SSP is so wrong on many levels... If you haven't got firm pecs it should be a given that you shouldn't expose that part of yoour anatomy no one wants to be looking at that! I intend to attend the carnival in 2009 - God willing. great job in '08. Hope you have a great year starting tomorrow.

No.1 Song for 2008 has to be D'banj's Fall in Love

I recently saw the movie, "Honey", I have a new man, my future hubby(Chidi Mokeme). Timaya's skin is just flawless and beautiful.Mehn, I wish i have a skin like that. I like me some dark skin brotha, but I heard he's taken. Stella, is one beautiful African Queen. Are u kidding me? there are many other good naija songs that should have made No 1, not Kini big deal.

Omgosh...that is definitely not Donatella. She's not that dark no matter the kind of tan & she's not that skinny either. Wow...

And I think Kini Big Deal was a very good song. I enjoyed the video thoroughly and it's my number 1 for 2008.
