Question + Nigeria's Next Super Model + MOBO Nominees and winners + Celebrity design lines

What's the best way to end a phone conversation? You know when you really need to get off the phone, and you don't want to be rude by just cutting the line, but you really don't want to continue talking because the person on the other line is either pissing you off, or uninteresting, or not someone you care to talk to, or is boring you to death, or asking or saying silly things etc etc. How do you politely get off the phone without making them feel bad?

Nigeria's Next Super Model

Celebrity Design Lines

In Nigeria there are some celebs coming out with clothing line. D' banj I hear has a clothing line. So does Ruggedman, Sound Sultan, Sasha, Ashionye, Chidi Mokeme...the only thing is, I haven't seen anyone wear this clothes except for the celeb themselves and maybe their friends. They can't even be found in any shop...the celeb culture here is a little different I guess.

It's a little different in the US right? The celebs there are making shit loads of money from making their own line of clothing. Maybe one day when I become an A-list celeb, then I'll start a label...I'll call it LINDARELLA! lol!

Anyway, here are some celebs and their very popular design lines.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen

Queen Latifah's 'Curvation'

Paris Hilton's ' Paris Hilton'

Pharrell William's 'Billionaire Boy's Club'

Nicky Hilton's 'Chick'

Sarah Jessica Parker's 'Bitten'

Eve's 'Fetish'

Russell Simmon's 'Phat Farm'

Fifty Cent's 'G-Unit'

Jessica Simpson's 'Sweet Kisses'

Justin Timberlake's 'William Rast'

Beyonce's 'House of Dereon'

P Diddy's 'Sean John'

Kimora Lee Simmon's 'Baby Phat'

Gwen Stefani's 'Lamb'

Jennifer Lopez's 'Sweet Face'

So what's your all time favourite celebrity design line?

I will not be caught alive (or dead lol) wearing that Beyonces House of Dereon or what ever it is called shit. Those clothes i must say are terrible. I think Sarah Jessica Parker and Kimora lees labels are d best for me.

Give me Kimora Lee Simmon's Baby Phat anyday anytime. You can't go wrong with her styles.
I don't understand about Nigeria's Next Top Model. I thought they are supposed to eliminate someone each week or has it been going on for long? Perhaps this is a different method? The models look lovely.

The best way to end a conversation would be to tell the other person you have to get back to work or you have a headache!!!Those models look really nice!!!

Linda, Good morning.

I was very surprise this morning when I opened ur site and saw white over black background. I don't actually know ur reason(s) for that but as a regular ready reader of your blog site, I felt iritated with the black background. I don't think it is okay. You can as make it as it was before or something else but not black. It looks odd.

To end a conversation- be honest but diplomatic.

Say: I know you will be perfect for somebody else, because I know I can't fulfill your need/desire.

Dont Say: Don't even think of it! You're too damn ugly.

Say: I am tired and dont want you to find me boring, Do you mind if I call you later.

Dont Say: You are boring, i need to get off the phone.

Say: Something urgent has come up, I need to call you back.

Dont Say: I want to go and talk to someone more interesting or anything thats going to make that person feel small.

This is no template, but do hope you get the drift. The important thing is knowing not to hurt someones feelings.

It made me chuckle, the thought of Nija celebs with their own line.
Unfortunately we are not there yet. As a developing nation we are still not proud of things made in Nija for many reasons (some valid), in my growing up years, it was ubiquitous to label certain made in Nija "okrika". This labelling as rubbish our own creation is part of the mental war we have to battle and win. Our Government have got to lead and engage the private sector in this regard. If we sponsor some of our gifted designers to such heights such that their creations traverse Nija, africa, then we as a people will stop the dichotomy in our minds, we would then start to accept our own as equal if not superior.

The Usher fragrance is just there, nothing spectacular, John Varvatos'es "Vintage" and D&G "light blue" are much better amongst the new.

Linda, you have to check this out. You may even like to post the video on your blog. Someone sent it to my forum. Is this another Martin Luther King or if i dare say, a braver one?

P.S.
I prefer your former pink template. Also, to end a phone conversation, i almost always say, oh i have an international call coming in...can i ring you right back? Of course i'd never ring back and the person would prolly figure i'd forgotten or so...wotever i don't really care what they think if it's someone i don't particularly give a monkeys about!!! Works a ton babes.
