Explosions rock football viewing centre in Maiduguri killing many people

Twin explosions rocked a football viewing centre in Ajilari ward, Jere Council area of Maiduguri, in Borno State today March 1st killing several football fans, Vanguard reports.

The Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), said to have been planted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at the viewing centre at Ajilari Railway Cross, exploded at about 6pm,  killing many fans, while several others sustained injuries.

A residents of Ajilari told a Vanguard correspondent that, “Some suspected terrorists in two Toyota Hilux Pick Up vans, pretending to be  firewood suppliers, detonated the bombs near the football viewing centre,  resulting in loss of several lives.

It’s another episode of your weekly culinary adrenaline rush, Knorr Taste Quest 2, Hot Just Got Hotter!! This week, the contestants were reminded that the competition is anybody’s game with the eviction of self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie, Victor Akpojovwo. The task of the day was tagged Healthy eating- cooking for a vegetarian, and the 11 contestants were asked to prepare a three course meal in Fifty minutes. Fourteen Ingredients were provided, out of which, six was to be used in all three courses. The six must use ingredients were; Karela (Bitter Melon), Mushrooms, Oatmeal, Lentils, Pawpaw and Cheddar Cheese. Chris Brown diagnosed with mental illness

Chris Brown has been diagnosed as bi-polar, suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and self-medicating inappropriately. This was revealed during his last court appearance...

He appeared in court yesterday for a probation hearing and a letter from his rehab facility gave the singer high marks for improvement but suggested he remain in treatment.

The letter, obtained by E! News, reads in part,

"Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable. It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers."

"Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."

Chris was ordered to remain in treatment for two more months. His next hearing is set for April 23.

Muslim extremists cut off a man's hand as punishment for stealing - and posted pics live on Twitter

Extremist Syrian organization named ISIS - Islamist State in Iraq and Syria - cut off a man's hand for allegedly stealing and tweeted the event and photos live. Daily Mail UK reports that ISIS claimed the man had asked for the punishment to be carried out in Maskanah, northern Syria, so he could be 'cleansed of his sins' of stealing.

The first tweet showed a blindfolded man being held down, surrounded by a large group of rebels, moments before the amputation. Two other images show a sword as it is brought down on the man's wrist... and seconds after, as the man's hand lies separated. See the graphic photos after the cut...

Kidnappers demand N500m ransom to free Pres. Jonathan's uncle

Abductors of Inengite Nitabai, the 70-year old uncle of President Goodluck Jonathan, have demanded a N500m ransom, Sahara Reporters report.

A security source said that the abductors threatened to kill him if the family fails to produce the money. The source also said the family had constituted a committee to evaluate the demand, establish negotiations with the abductors and facilitate his release.

He said the kidnappers had also warned against the involvement of security operatives in the matter.
"The kidnappers contacted the family four days after and demanded a whopping sum of N500m. It is believed that the family of the victim has begun negotiations with the hoodlums," he said.

I have been married for 3years with a child, love my husband, he is the kind of man any woman can hope for, spoils and pampers me like a guy asking a girl out for the first time (we are happy). But I think I love my ex more, we broke up because he lies too much to me and any guy that lies to you is not serious or doesn't love you (my theory), but we remained friends, the kind of friend that you can tell anything no matter how weird. We were chatting about 2 days ago and we got emotional that he sent me a picture of his penis and I almost jumped out of my skin. Since then I have not been able to sleep, work or do anything without seeing that image and longing for it, I so much want to be with him but I am married. What should I do? McDonalds has made a new golden arch enemy - a California man is suing the company for $1.5million... because he says he only got one napkin with his meal. Webster Lucas claims he was stiffed on napkins at the Mickey D's in Pacoima, CA on January 29th -- after ordering a Quarter Pounder Deluxe - and when he went up to the counter to ask for more, he was rudely rebuffed by the manager ... who insisted he already got some. According to his lawsuit, Lucas, who is black, then retorted, "I should have went to eat at the Jack-in-the-Box because I didn't come here to argue over napkins. I came here to eat."That's when Lucas says things got racist -- claiming the manager (a Mexican-American) mumbled something about "you people."Lucas subsequently emailed the general manager to complain - insisting he couldn't work because of the "undue mental anguish" he was suffering as a result of the napkin debacle -- and says he was insultingly offered free burgers in return. Lucas wants to super size instead - $1.5 million.
