Meanwhile the families of late Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Chief Gani Fawehinmi have rejected the Post Humous Awards the Federal Government is to bestow on both Gani and Fela at a Centenary Awards which will hold later today at the Banquet Hall State House in Abuja. Continue...
The Fawehinmi family say nominating their father in the same category with former Military Head of State, General Gbadamosi Babangida and the recent killing of students in Yobe state are their reasons for turning down the award.
Femi Kuti who spoke on behalf of the Kuti Family say they have not yet received any apologies from the government for the burning of the Kalakuta Republic in 1977 and also for the killing of his grandmother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti and so cannot receive the award.
Other Nigerians to be awarded today include
nice one from the two families
ReplyDeleteYeah its very very disrespectful to the students and to all the victims of the north killings, the celebration should have been cancelled, but atiku is no better than Jonathan, atiku is an elder states man, he has been in politics for long without meaningful change, both atiku and GEJ are same of same, if he has a way to end the crisis in the north he should not wait to take power by all means under the platform of APC in 2015 while our brothers and sisters are dying in the north, he should start now to proffer solution to the unending crisis in the north, all our leaders past and present should put heads together and fight this boko haram, this is not the time to carry out a calculated attack on one another because we are trying to increase our political relevance or to increase the political tension in country

DeleteNigerians are dying lick ants, president johnson is busy partying hard. Ironu o pa po
DeleteDefinately, d families should reject the freaking awards! Mr president is so not Wise! As for ATIKU stop d pretence, he who kills by d sword will definately die by it, and ur lineage will so pay for it!
DeleteI sorry for Nigeriia...*deepsigh*

DeleteOh pulease! So the event shudna held for that sole reason? Will it bring the kids back? Abeg if he doesn't have anything constructive to say he shud be quiet!
ReplyDeleteI pray your family experience what Boko Haram did to the innocent children and thereafter roll out drums to celebrate. Mind you, it may be a motor accident, fire accident etc, but you will surely experiencce it before you die!!!! Heartless Idiot
DeleteTry constructing how u write b4 asking sm1 else 2 be constructive.
DeleteYes. If dey spend dat time wit intelligence officers, well trained security personnels strategising on how to get doz 20 missing girls bak to dia parents n free dem 4rm wateva dehumanising situation dey mite be facing den dia wud b somtin 2 celebrate abt. Nigs hav no value 4 human life.
DeleteYour insensitivity hurts! Maybe God should help you loose a kid in future so that you'll know that if they had paused the whole centenary charade, even for a day,it would have meant something to the parents and to we Nigerians. But nope, life means absolutely nothing to you and the rest of them who feel its just another death. I pity my generation though and the way we seem not to see beyond our nostrils. Mcheeeew. Nonsense and ingredients
DeleteThey r not saying the event should not hold, they just don't want to be party to it
DeleteShame on you, jaybeblu.you should be the one to keep quiet if you have no constructive words to pen.ut is quite distasteful to have a jamboree at this time.

Linda pls post dis, he needs to knw, ofcus it wudnt bring dem back, bt wud it hurt to show a little sympathy?
DeleteIts called empathy fool. Maybe you should try it sometime. Would GEJ ve continued with the celebration if his son was murdered? We cannot continue to keep up appearances in the face of sorrow. GEJ acts like he doesn't care if Nigeria burns as long as he can remain president of the asses.
DeleteYes for that reason, it shldnt hold and I pray and wish its your daughter, sister or mother that was killed....maybe your father will be out dancing now..idiot..
DeleteAnd for dis particular comment from jaywateva, linda do us d honour for not posting anymore comment from d said person!!all I ask is for God to forgive your heartless selfish blunt self!

DeleteWhy am I inconsolable? I close my eyes to sleep and wake up hours later with a salty taste in my mouth only to realise the tears had trickled down my cheeks into my mouth.
DeleteCan't seem to get the face of a crying mother out of my head. A woman I'd never seen before, a woman I'll always remember till the day I die. All she did was ask me for water and in all my years, I'd never heard a voice so sad, a voice so lost and hopeless. Looking at her face, I could swear to myself that this woman has never been happy in her life, was sure sorrow had always been a part of her, was sure death was her god and sorrow was her eternity.
How wrong I was for she reached into her handbag and there was a picture of her and a cute boy and I realised that beauty had gone to war against sorrow and lost. Her son was killed in the FGC Yobe by a bunch of devil advocates. My heart weeps for her, ma soul cries out, for nobody should ever bury a child. A child whose greatest problem a couple of minutes before his demise was a senior, the boarding house master or how to sneak out of his room after light-outs. I pray the Lord comforts you and your family. But how do you comfort a mother who lost her son so violently. Certainly, not by inviting her for a centenary celebration.
Console us all dear Lord and put this period of grief behind us.
@anon609pm. Are you Reuben Abati? Why are u insulting her? What do you expect her to do? Was she elected to secure the lives and property of Nigerians? What's her(@agha) duty in this country? Was @agha at anytime saddled with the responsibilty and safety of Nigerians? Would I look at a university lecturer and blame him for the fraud in Oceanic bank?
DeleteAbeg ooo, we all have our duties and the fault is yours and yours alone when you fail at your duty? I believe we were all thought about it in social studies.
Lemme for once hold brief for GEJ as it pertains this issue, its quite unfortunate that this ugly incidents are coincedentally happening when we planned celebrating 100years of a forced marriage. Long ago this occasion has been scheduled to take place on this day and postponing it will further add to the already bloated ego of this terrorists.
ReplyDeleteBut where I found the FG culpable is in the area of sympathizing with this people.
It would av gone a long way in providing some sort of closure to the bereaved families had GEJ visited the state atleast to show concern.
Instead the VP was in Lagos for a presidential Ball. That doesn't show empathy.
~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA3310
While I know that the events have been scheduled to hold, the FG could have simmered down and reduced the fireworks.
DeleteBonario, I don't agree that canceling/postponing the planned celebration will swell their(boko haram) egos. I think it will bring to the fore how dire the security situation in the country is.
DeletePeople/nation should come 2geda in times of sorrow and console one another. Our sorrows and joys should be collective. That's a definition of a society. I guess that doesn't apply to Nigeria, a state where the rich are so wealthy and the poor are so poor. A country where its alright for my neighbour to die as long as I'm alive. this kind of behavior and shameless display of wealth, joy, gluttony is not only wrong but insesnsitive when lots of people are sad.
PS: take all you can, give nothing back.
God bless u Bona for dis comment.
DeleteI love dat femi guy, his a celeb but doesn't dance to their tune, unlike d actors guild. The celeb shud be on d pple's side and dat wht femi has done standing for wht is right and not some dumb actors and actresses fooling demselves...a thousand step in d right direction Mr. Femi
ReplyDeleteOde! He is worried about his kalakuta, how does that affect the masses. May be it has reduced the number of venues where we the masses can smoke weed
DeleteFor the first time Atiku spoke like a leader. The celebration going on in ABj is uncalled for.Imagine poor kids, families, schools, homes and a lot more are in great grief, and yet those big men in power are busy jubilating. Not to talk of the money being wasted!mtcheew somhow for Nigeria
ReplyDeleteȊ̝̊̅§ it jonathan that killed dem? Ȋ̝̊̅§ this d ist ist we r exepriencing such? How many families will he visit? Pple die evryday, shit happens! Plz d president have oda duies to attend to, U̶̲̥̅̊ all shd park well jo.

DeleteMay the souls of the children rest in peace. Atiku should not politicize their death bcos definitely he will reap what he sows. He is hiding in shame. Let him continue to make the presidency ungovernable. He who killed by sword must die by the sword. only God knows the heart of man.
ReplyDeleteU can never ever please everyone!!
ReplyDeleteDo not mind him.We mourn with the family of the deceased children, but Atiku and APC should not politicize it.I am surprised that neither of the two APC bulldogs,Lie Mohammed and Rufai have not criticized the contonued centenary celebration.

DeleteJaybeyblu.....u sound so insensitive and heartless,,,,the event wont bring the kids back but at least as the president of the nation...he is supposed to mourn those kids,,,if one of Jonathan's kid was involved,,would he have gone ahead with the celebration.....its not like those kids died a natural death but they were victims of the insecurity issues of dis country,,,,pls be realistic
ReplyDelete@jaybeyblu maybe if ur Sibling was amongst those slain u wud have a diff reasoning, in my view govt shud have postponed d celebration n address d issue of boko haram
ReplyDeleteHnmmmm Nigeria with issues shaaaa! Na them sabi. What is even d kalakuta repuplic all abt? All these doesn't put money in my bank account. Ka gbo oro jo...Kdp

Please investigate, I just bought one today 28/02/14 during my stay with them. I found the CD Blank when i wanted to view it on my laptop. I still have the copy to be returned to them later. I am not the only one, other people can confirm the story. I expected them to have checked the content before selling it to the public. Best Regards
ReplyDeleteLet's leave all this hypocrisy, na today BH begin kill people here in Nigeria.
ReplyDeletethe world of social media. Nigeria mourns, snd the FG too the death of FGC children.whould they have the president cancel the event planned out already? all the dignitaries invited from all parts of the world. hence Atiku and the likes should speak , caution their brothers from the North,,maybe this inhumane act will stop, we all know where all these is coming from
ReplyDeleteATIKU SHOULD GO AND REST, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH SOME LEVEL OF CELEBRATION, THE PLAN OF BOKO HARAM AND SPONSORS IS TO MAKE SURE WE DON'T CELEBRATE, BUT THEY HAVE FAILED. ATIKU SHOULD SEND A TWEET TO HIS BROTHERS TO STOP KILLING PEOPLE INSTEAD OF CONDEMNING THE PRESIDENT.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Atiku, it's a shame.
ReplyDelete@jaybeyblu Are u stupid or you are were just born foolish? 50 kids are dead, 20 children abucted, villages been destroyed, livelihoods in complete jeopardy, people dying recklessly, 20 billion dollars missing and many more heinous crimes committed and you want jonathan to celebrate? celebrate what? amalgamation? and yet there is still slavery in a lot of nigerians life, children being used as maids, beaten recklessly by their employers/slave masters. if you were to know one of the students, you wouldnt speak like this... I am absolutely disgusted by each one and every nigerian... completely disgusted. imagine our celebrities travelling all the way to abuja to honour a man that need not be as a patron yet behind his back they say foul things about him. I am in absolute disgust. I say this, and i will keep saying this if 'fools' were leading us, then we the citizens are even bigger fools, so much shouldnt be expected from the citizens.
ReplyDelete9ice statement but from wrong man. ⌣̊┈̥-̶̯͡»̶̥♡thanks ⌣̊┈̥-̶̯͡»̶̥
ReplyDeleteIs a pity that some Nigerians dnt reason b4 they talk, How would Atiku say a tin like that?A programme that have been planned for passed 4mnths ago,to be cut off bcos his boy decided to kill innocent students for no just reason?
ReplyDeleteif boko haram like let them finish the whole of north okey! Nigeria dnt suppose to put off national matters bcos of them bcos if we do that, they will be feeling relevant.
you would have done worse if you were the president. I see no good intentions in all these ranting of yours lately.
ReplyDeleteI believ dis event wz already planned b4 de incident of FGC student so is it xpected 2b aborted? Lets pray for our country & the Leadership and stop criticism, it wont solve de problem!
ReplyDeleteAtiku shut up,when Obasanjo wiped out Odi and Zakibiam communities what did you do? Hypocrite..Centenary celebration was long planed and as at one week about 20 heads of states have started making their ways to Nigeria,it will be very bad if Nigerian government because of unfortunate killings by evil men from the North to turn those heads of state back..Atiku and his elites should go back and ask themselves questions ...let him as former VP and over 5 former heads of states in Nigeria who are from the North seat down and find solution to their problems and stop chasing ASO ROCK..Born to rule mentality should be ignored..
ReplyDeleteThe truth is that, it cant be stopped. U dont stop such function for terrorist. So d FG is right but mourn those kids, secondly is it not atiku and his men doing this?????
ReplyDelete...Cheap blackmail, Is he suggesting that the over 100 heads of state that came for this event, return to thier countries or we should all sit back at home.
ReplyDeleteWhen soilders were grinding ODI in Bayelsa, Atitu was VP ..what did he do. He is just a shameless fool
Atiku is Adamawa not your state? What have you done as d former vice president rather than sabotaging d govt. D celebration is a MUST hold irrespective of what we are going through now bcos NIGERIA is 100 years. Saint kuti n gani's family u can sit @ home and reject d honour WITHOUT doing any positive thing for d security, make una just siddon for house dey talk anyhow as if una be JESUS pikins. And dis children wey dey LIB,I wipe for u all bcos you are obviously dancing in d tunes n plans of dis devilish n wicked politicians dat are claiming to be saints in every of their eye service dey are doing, changing d name of a hall in honor of d dead student is a positive way abi or supporting atiku with his poltical statement when they all know d truth. Make una shine your eyes ooo!!!!!GOD bless Nigeria.
ReplyDelete@Atiku you are one of the problem Nigeria have. u want power so anything the FG do u will talk. the Centenary project has been planed for more than one year now.do u want then to stop the program bcos of the killing?that was the plan of people like atiku.they dont want pace in 9ja.when the BK Boys went to kill people in church
ReplyDeletethat time u where in PDP u did nt say anything.bcos u are in APC now u like 2 talk.
Atiku should park well,is he not the godfather of boko haram, shameless man, soon God will expose him and his members.so you have human sympathy eeeeeee yaaaaaa. A beg park welllllllllll
ReplyDeleteHonestly,I feel our president should visit Adamawa state and atleast the school too, this way maybe he'll see the extent to which this menance has gotten to. Because I don't think Reno and Abati are letting him have a clear view of what is going on in Nigeria, they are too busy telling him white is black and black is the new purple #IM0
ReplyDeleteGood point but this Atiku guy love to paint FG black making himself look like the good guy..
ReplyDeleteUncle Femi Kuti is Omo oko his Grandma n father will be proud of him anywhere they are.
Please these people should shut the fuck up. I've never commented on a post but I must on this. Maybe write an an article on Jonathan's regime.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, my condolences to the families affected and the kids injured from the attack.
My rationale:
Biko. because you are against the president doesnt mean you should bury your senses in a grave and paint him black. This centenary celebrations or whatever they are celebrating was long planned for and so much money was invested/wasted as usual and it was only okay for them to celebrate whatever they were/are celebrating. It is only unfortunate this sad incident happened just same time as this celebrations.
You all sit back and point fingers and blab. What makes you feel they dont have the families of those affected in mind? I'm very sure they will pay them condolence visits when the celebration is over, until then you can blab.
The most annoying part is, most people condemning Jonathan are northernerns yet na them still be Boko haram. If you are so hurt, why not form another group to fight Boko haram? Yes you can do it, Not just Mr. Jonathan.
I'm only just saying things as they are, not like i have anything for the president. He doesnt know me and i dont think i know him too cause he hasnt done anything for me nor have i seen what he has done in this country.
Mr nnags i beg to differ frm ur point. The way i see it,uncle jona jus missed an opportunity to score a political point in the face of adversity. One of d thngs that got obama reelected was the way he handled a disaster dt befell NY i thnk close to d end of his last term. If d program was postponed,d international community he had invited wud av been forced to take the BH issue seriously and offer intelligent solutions seeing we/jona have nt been able to handle them alone. Truth dt the boko boys ego wud hav been blown, but jus look at how many points fashola won by changing a name. That said i thnk d way to tackle d BH boys is by intelligence rather than by might. Stiffle thier source of funds, ammunition and even food and dey will die a natural death. Sorry to use this example, but dat was how d civil war was won
ReplyDeleteAbeg leave long talk. As an ex pro unitary school student I empathise. Truth is d matter hard but the celebrations can't be stopped now. I'm sure that if there was a way, the president would have called it off. But it's significant too remind us that Nigeria ain't dividing soon o!
DeleteE.g my mum died oon d 18th and my baby siister's bday was on 20th.
We went ahead to mark d bday. Not coz we weren't in grief but even d mum had prepared all for d event. I can't explain to a 6yr o!
Atiku how many plane crash did we witness during ur regime???? Did it stop u from looting....what have u done personally as an elder states man?what effort have u made as a past leader who has access to vital info about boko haram? I dont believe u re d'one typing this trash cos it looks childish....if na ur daughters dey type am tell them to stop! Boko haram is not a jonathan's'fight its a fight for all."KC"

ReplyDeleteIf Atiku is mr president, what we he do? If u no tell mr president what to do.
ReplyDeleteThe sustained attacks was actually meant to mar the centenary celebration and cause a cancellation, since the president didn't cancel an event planned over a year ago he is now insensitive. Let them continue to pursue politics above human interest.
ReplyDeleteAtiku and north leaders say de will make dis presidency ungovernable so pleas live GEJ alone. Thank u

ReplyDeleteClick Here For Hot Gist Now!!!
Let Atiku call his boys to order. They got all this planned out because from day one the never supported the centenary celebration. They felt it should have happened when Hausa /Fulani is the president.
ReplyDeleteATIKU YOU AND YOUR NORTHERN ELDERS AND MIS-ELDERS KNOW THE BOKO HARAM.THIS ATTEMPT AT PASSING THE BLAME ON THE PRESIDENT IS JUST TO SCORE POLITICAL GAIN. YOU ARE THE ONE DANCING AND MAKING NOISE ON THE GRAVES OF THE STUDENTS JUST TO GET PUBLIC SYMPATHY.ANY ONE OF YOU THAT IS PRIVY TO EITHER BY SPONSORING OR HIDING THEM,ANY OF YOU THAT IS PRIVY TO INFORMATION AND HIS HIDING ITON BOKO HARAM AND SHEDDING INNOCENT BLOOD.THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD SHALL COME ON YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES.THERE WILL BE BLOOD FLOW AND MISHAPS IN YOUR HOMES.LEAVE MR PRESIDENT OUT OF THIS .THE NORTH CLEAN URSELVES UP
ReplyDeleteI agree with Atiku on this one!! The president shd b tinkin of how to fix our security issues... show empathy.. visit the affect states... console families... instead he is spendn billions of naira on sme Stewwwpid party! what exactly are we celebrating?? 100 yrs ke? The country is @ an all time low n na party dem knw? People are dying errday like chickens n Bokom Haram is actin like dey own the country yet our one tym shoeless n forever clueless less (as per say e don pass 40 n him still no get sense) leader is der letn his equally clueless advisers deceive him... God help Nigeria!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMehnn pple sayin Atiku is right amaze me!cos it won't change anytin weda it ws postponed or not!it ws already scheduled.dt Atiku shd tak several seatsss!dts such a careless statement very uncalled for!!!
ReplyDeleteAbeg, is it only the westerners that deserve post humous awards?? The list is full of their names...i wonder the criteria used #justsaying#.
ReplyDeleteAtiku's frequent tweets suggests to me he's nursing a presidential ambition. I feel he should talk to his fellow non-nonchalant and heartless Northern leaders who initiated, and are supporting the Boko Haram menace. While I feel sorry for those being affected by this evil, I feel more sorry for the North should Nigeria split (God forbid).
ReplyDeleteAtiku is right on this.during our president's message on the celebration day,no condolence message was included.it was as if noting bad happened to us.let me ask,is it because their children are schooling abroad that made other children nothing?as a number one citizen and a president,is there any information he could not get?he removed subsidy on pms and said there was cabals, who and who are the cadals?now boko haram are mercilessly killing and shedding the blood of his subjects and their sponsors are sitting tight in this country and he don't know who they are.I don't care who becomes the next president in 2015,but let dis killing stop
ReplyDeleteshut up mr vice president, when you were in govrt what on earth did you do! stop spoiling the present administration because of your selfish gains...we all know that you and many northern leaders are behind boko haram. God will judge you all in due times!

ReplyDeleteWhy r we sentimental and why is Atiku behaving like a saint? I've seen people whose parents died in a fatal accident 2 weeks to dier wedding and d wedding still took place (When faced with challenges, we av d choice of breaking down, encourage ourself den move on) We sympathise with all of us affected by d students killings... A nation can't be at war and the president will confidently sip on fine wine. Won't it taste bitter in his mouth? I mean.

ReplyDeleteStopping the Centenary celebration to honour the murder kids by the blood thirsty these Islamic deviants could have been a VICTORY for the Boko Haramist among us especially these Northerners that have vowed to make this country ungovernable for the current President. The question is, what are so-called Northern Elders being doing all this while to restrain this cowards that detest Western education but they are using western implemments to perpetrate this devious acts! The Northern elites need to have their min-conference to discuss these issues that is directly affecting their region and indirectly rubbishing the country Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteIf Jonathan children were among the murdered children, will the celebration still hold? Our president is so selfish!!! One of this days, I pray he shld have a feel of what pple in the north are going thru. Bee
ReplyDeleteis it now that boko haram has been killing people atiku and others are always looking for one loophole or the other to attack president Jonathan where as they know where boko haram emanated from
ReplyDeleteOf all the fools here I would single you out.. not because you have the most stupid comment.. but because I got sick as I read yours.
Deletethe government is insensitive do u need to lose a loved one to understand this?
How easily everyone had forgotten that this bombings might have been a deliberate action to scuttle the centenary! Mind you I don't support the centenary celebrations on its on, but criticisms coming from someone who swore to make the country ungovernable in the event of his loosing political contest, for me is a complete charade and mendacious display of care and concern! These killings are for sure calculated attempts to discredit the event in as much as I don't support the event. One wonders why the tempo of the violence increased at the eve of the suspension of the CBN governor, one known to have huge sentiment on his religion and has carried out violent acts on non-belivers of his religion even to be complicit of murder prior to joining the banking sector. Islam oh yes is a religion of peace! Its pretty obvious!
ReplyDeleteIn Ukraine, about 80 persons died during the protest and the parliament voted out the President. In Naija, we have lost over 100 persons in the last two weeks, all our senators could do is to give award and dance on the grave of the souls that pershed. Life is no longer valued in Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteI don't like this man but I kinda agree with him on this
ReplyDeleteI totally disagree with Atiku. What has he done since this Gboko Haram started killing. While are these miscreant always intensify assault whenever the Nigeria President plan national celebration. They attack Abuja during Nigeria 50 years independence because it was GEJ first time as a sitting president. Other subsequent ones put on low key. Now this is 100 years of Nigeria Amalgamation which will not happen again until another 100 years. This is a great honor to GEJ. Those who lost in 2011 election that brought him this rare opportunity will continue with their bad-belle. Gboko Haram is political tools against this Govt.
ReplyDeletewhen is power going back to boko 4 peace to reign in dis nation or better still from d confab carve out islamic nation 4 dem,can they leave book alone and begin to fight corrupkion and half of niaja will board d train wont all if possible
ReplyDeleteAtiku is a man , father and human like ur average father only if u knw him better....not like d fools on board now they are animals I expected at least 3 day morning period in nigeria..the future of the country were bin slaughtered like goats and all u do is centenary shit...I am deeply pained.Rip to the kids....
ReplyDeleteI hope Atiku is not playing politics with this. Secondly, its quite unfortunate that the deaths happened at a time like this. But nonetheless, those 2 families will never accept awards from the government because it betrays the very essence of what their men were fighting for/against.
ReplyDeleteAm not holding briefs for GEJ neither am I being disrespectful to the slain students but I seriously chose to differ wit Atiku. The centenary event has been in the pipeline for over a year, money has been spent and dignitaries invited. In my opinion, I think it'll be out of place to put off the centenary celebrations bcos of the FGC incident. Atiku's outburst is ill intended nd obviously aimed at scoring cheap political goals. Elder statement should act as one nd not play kiddies pranks. Atiku pls take a back seat nd stop being mischievous. #my candid opinion though#
ReplyDeleteDis Benita and Co , u ppl just comment cos odas say so. Dis celebration has already been planned b4 d bh attack on yobe .do u Expect GEJ to. Turn down d whole invities? Atiku dat is talking is he not one of d sponsors of bh? Is it not there plan to disrupt d celebration? Why wunt u ppl give Jonathan a space 4 once.as 4 dos of u causing GEJ I pray u will wear a leadership shoe one day and c how it taste . Ndi Ara
ReplyDeleteHe should be more ashamed of the happenings and killings in the north, being the one pf their top dogs.he is sounding like a senseless wimp by also using this terror to also politicise his selfish political ambition! Is it the time for blame?Does he think because he is not in power,he is exempted too?Foolish and heartless men of the govt.if he wants to prove to us that he had this country at heart, this is the time for him and his cohorts need to throw aside their sickly political ambition for peace in the nothern region.but NO,just as i expected, its always about politics.evil men!
ReplyDeleteU cnt pls every body!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell! To an extent,I think Mr atiku is right. I am not saying the FG should not celebrate but the FG should have done something in honor of the slained students.my question is does mr atiku really have the interest of the slained students at heart or is he just playing mind games(criticising the FG) if he was the president wl he have stopped the event from holding?#politics#
ReplyDeleteRosie Said.......Atiku should go and sit down!!!!! Yes i Said it.Why is he calling out Jonathan and Co? As a leader and a Northner what has he done or said to the boko haram sect?is either he is afraid of them or he knows something that we do not know. And for that weakling of a president who can not take off to go and console the families and communities that are hurting......Shame on you, coward.
ReplyDeleteAtiku Abubakar is a big fool. he should go kill himself. am so sure him knows waz up in the north.
ReplyDeletePoliticizing a tragedy, is that the way forward, always blame the government of the day to score cheap political point. The crises in the Niger Delta was brought to an end through the efforts of the elders in the south, can't the north do the same, so we can put a stop to all these senseless killings of innocent and defenseless citizens. My condolences to the parents of the slain students and sympathy to the parents of the adlbducted students
ReplyDeleteThey re all d same jare ......
ReplyDeleteIf na gef pikin die....would d whole country not morn Im...would dey av been celebratin any fckn 100y? ....atiku regim ws far beta dan gej own na. ...atleast pple kno dey die anyhow
ReplyDeleteLong story!
ReplyDeleteNa wah oooo..must everything be politicized..everyone is bereaved bt dt shldnt halt d country's activities...didn't Atiku eat dis morning?? Has he gone to yobe to visit d family??...its d responsibility of all Nigerians nt d president alone...
ReplyDeleteAbeg all dis Apc ppl shld chill jor...until dey do smtin bera dey shld stp dis character assasination it aint helping in anyway...
So many pple re just ignorant,if only u all know wats going on in this country u will weep...just stop talking ignorantly pls
ReplyDeleteMr Atiku dnt just condemn GEJ and the centenary celebration, We all know its been a long planned event that was scheduled to take place at this period. Sir, all we need you to do, is come out on national TV and tell those sponsoring boko haram and boko haram sect that they are evil and that they will all pay dearly with their own lives soon if they dont stop this wickedness. And we will know you are a patriotic Nigerian.
ReplyDeleteI don't tink its right for parties to be celebrated wen derz nothing to be happy abt! the party was uncalled for,Mr president should use the money to do beta things ..
ReplyDeleteAll of you that are talking bad aganst GJ dont have sense, the date of this celebration has been put down long time ago and our so called evil northen politicians send their heatless boko haram to kill this children so they can use it against the presedent knowing very well GJ wil not change the date of this event. Atiku and co are the people behind all this killing going on in the north just to use it against the president because killing of those children that cant hurt any one dosnt make any sens to me, is just a set up to use it agains GJ. So you all should think befor you talk
ReplyDeleteLol yep he is right kinda way but why shudnt FG honor the late pupils, but I dunno why dis dey pain APC members wella smh
ReplyDeleteAtiku you and your bastard muslim brethren get am for hand! Yes I agree, Jona jona should chill with celebrations for now. But not once have I heard you condemn your religious zealots bastard muslim brothers to stop the killings. When will you muslims also cry out about that religion constantly preaching hate, murder and genocide huh? bro atiku? nonsense
ReplyDeleteSad I must say... But not b best way out of it Atiku by that mention. The show will go on bin that huge preparations ve bin made.
ReplyDeleteA fine condolence visit should be paid to all affected.
May their young souls rest in peace.
#Kadnal
Atiku should be thought what it takes to be a leader.
ReplyDeleteScrew Atiku and Screw GEJ. these idiots both know or may be involved with who is causing the murder of innocent citizens. Is Atiku not a northern respected northern leader? what is he doing about the Boko haram issue? Goodluck Jonathan, Atiku and all the other so called leaders are all a bunch of selfish and desperate no body's. they can all get lost
ReplyDeleteThe question is, if you are preparing to throw a huge party for your birthday and two days to the day your mum or dad or even a very close friend dies, would you still go on with the party? If you think Still is wrong then you are a fool and amongst the bunch killing this country.
ReplyDeleteI thought this honoury award was scheduled before before the massacre, is he insinuating that it should have been cancelled, he's really trying so hard to eat into the heart of Nigerians... And as for the Kuti's reason for rejecting this, just doesn't make sense, what happened in Kalakuta was enforced under the military rigime, and Obasanjo had personal beef with Late Fela, The Nigerian govt got little to do with that, or is the Kuti family expecting an apology from Nigerians as a whole? Good luck is as innocent as the rest of us on that matter.

ReplyDeleteI thought so too! I thought the gov't should have postponed the event in light of what we were going through. As for the rejections, finally Nigerians are becoming wise.
ReplyDeletestop acting like a saint atiku if u go back to that sit, u won't do anything other than steal more for ur great great grand children. so stop showing ur deceitful sympathy because omo na wash. u go still steal again if u enter. been there, done that and wanna do more.
ReplyDeleteIf George W. Bush organized a party the same week of September 11, 2001, he would have been impeached.

Nice one @ Bonario and anon 6:47pm. Please anon 6:47 pm, write often and write with a name so I can follow up on you.
ReplyDeleteThe celebration should have been low profiled. 20 girls were abducted and still missing, scores of innocent vibrant lives were massacred at their prime and all you could do is expose buccal cavity like a herbivore forced to sleep in a bed burning under with woods.
God have mercy!
Atiku shd shut up abeg.....we ol knw whts happening dey tink Nigerians are foolish.....dey shd b bundled up and burnt 4 wht dey hv turned ds country in2 and d countless innocent lives lost cs of deir foolish politics
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with the ex-president tweet but I find ex-leaders of Nigeria speaking out when they are out of power as been hypocrite. They hardly speak out when they are in office but you hear them criticize any current government. On their own what have they done about the current situation, government are the people. DO YOUR OWN BIT!!!

ReplyDeleteAtiku is one of the disgruntled sponsors of boko haram in Nigeria, they intentionally created that dastarly act in Yobe and other states this week to tarnish government image.ask him what he did during his 7yrs in power as vice president and as a concerned Northern Elder to curb the excesses of this terrorist group?
ReplyDeleteU are very right

Anty Linda nawa for u º°˚˚°º, u refused to publish ♍γ comment
ReplyDeleteNo matter all the bad things that have happened in Nigeria, this is a geniune reason to be thankful.
ReplyDeleteAtiku and the Northern Elders are godamn hypocrites. they are not bothered by the innocent blood that are daily shed in the North. They are only concerned with playing politics with it. Instead of finding ways of ending this bloody tragedy, their main concern is how to drag Gen. Ihejirika to ICC, etc. Any way, they are used to shedding innocent blood. This one shouldn't be different. It is just part of their stupid politics.
ReplyDeleteAtiku they are boys pls stop killing people oooooo
ReplyDeleteThe Government sees what is happening as Play Station cos we are PS to them and they are playing us Perfectly well,we need all this Media houses to start speaking up and tell the Government Directly to fucking send those blood thirsty Boko Haram to hell.....Raise your Voice people
ReplyDeleteTo be sincere, yobe attack was to tanish presidency image
ReplyDeleteGod is watching
My party is Jesus not Pdp nor Apc ~onahboy
Alhaji atiku, you said in 2011 the you would make Nigeria ungovernable if Jonathan contests and wins. boko haram followed strongly after that. Who is to blame for boko haram? you or President Jonathan? My answer is you, alhaji atiku abubakar.
ReplyDeleteThe massacre must have been planned to stop the celebration. We can imagine where it is coming from.
ReplyDeleteWELL SAID UNCLE ATI'!
ReplyDeleteDis can never apin outside Nigeria,,som pple av very shallow brains..we dnt av value 4 human life in dis country..more dan 40 s2dents were killed and almost 20girls were abducted and u pple said dat d celebration shld hold cos dey av plan it b4 d attack!!!u tink if dis terror apin in france dia president will kom 2 Nigeria kos he is d Guest of honour at d centenary??absolutely.....to me dat celebration is totally unwise...Obama postponed his campaign for 3days bcos 8 americam citizens lost dia lives in a natural disaster..let's tel our president d truth plz..dts totally bad
ReplyDeleteAtiku you are not any different from JEG.You are a thieve and lacked empathy for Nigerians during your tenure but I agree JEG is kind of a moron and lacks the ability to manage a country.
ReplyDeleteAtiku eat your heart out, you are just jealous you are not the one in Aso rock for this landmark in our history...thats all (with oga at the top accent)
ReplyDeleteShut up you foolish Atiku.always wanting to score cheap political points even with pple's life.we all know that you & your boys organised these in other to embarrass GEJ but your evil machinations will hunt you forever.
ReplyDeleteIf u like tweet all your crap frm now till eternity you ain't gonna smell the presidency! That you can take to d bank!
I am not a fan of Presidon Jonathan but this man called Atiku has to shut up. He is very corrupt with women all over the place.

ReplyDeleteTHE NO 2 BOKO HARAM SPONSOR SPEAKING,HE WANTS TO DISCREDIT AND BE VOTED AS PRESIDENT.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A PIPE DREAM BY THE MASTER AND FATHER OF CORRUPTION YOU WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA.
GO KILL YOUR SELF OR STAGE A COUP BUT BE PREPARED TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCE
If thoroughly investigated,Atiku may be behind the attacks so he can come up with tweets like these against Jonathan.
ReplyDeleteOoooh pls Atiku shot d hell up and stop been such a baboon lookin hypocrite wen u were in d villa did u do any different and am sure if ur givin a 2nd shot u will still not correct ur mistakes, quit been bitta bout u not been president ur beef is wit Obj so go settle am wit him and stop rantin all ova d place, notice me AGBAYA
ReplyDelete******A-BELLE******
I wish there's a like button....1000 likes for d comment frm HRH Ekeh!!! So long as these so called northern leaders continue to chase GEJ rather than put their house in order there will be no end to this.
ReplyDeleteI've often asked are these bokomites not human beings who live & conduct their daily lives amongst d pple.
How come everything is shrouded in secrecy???
Atiku should find a very hot stool and sit down. He swore that nigeria would be ungovernable if the north doesn't produce a president. So he is very very much part of the problem. Words don't die!

ReplyDelete“Gradually but noticeably, Nigerians appear to have lost the appetite to celebrate anything. Embedded in our newfound affinity for low key celebration and an infinite state of sober reflection is the true state of the nation.
“Can we really celebrate when our children are being slaughtered while at school? Can we really celebrate when our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters are being slaughtered like chickens?
“Can we really celebrate when our fellow citizens live in constant and growing fear of kidnappers, hired assassins and armed robbers? Can we really celebrate when those constitutionally empowered to protect us turn their fury on us?
Oga Jona, we have heard enough of these your super-story, tackle the problem at hand, we need security, our children are killed daily in schools, is this the way to train up the future leaders?
We their parents can't go to work because no petrol and businesses are down due to that too.
the same way Gowon and his stooges were celebrating and dining on his honey moon while innocent children and women died of starvation because of his blockade.
