16 persons burnt to death in auto crash along Lokoja-Abuja Expressway

Kogi State Governor's convoy into an accident scene between Gegu and Abaji on the Lokoja-Abuja Expressway Friday.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on New Media, Petra Akinti Onyegbule, the accident involved an SUV and a commercial bus which was traveling from Lagos to Kano. Both vehicles were said to have been engulfed in flames burning 16 passengers to death. 3 of the dead passengers were in the SUV while 13 were occupants of the bus.

A lone survivor from the bus has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. May the souls of the victims rest in peace. Wishing the survivor a speedy recovery.

  17. Okene - Lokoja road in bad shape.The state govt should rehabilitate the road for the safety of motorists. Dual carriageway the best option. Gov Yayah Bello do something.
