Return of 'Looted' Funds: Buhari is a liar, he should stay at home to govern - Fayose

Read the press statement below...
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has carpeted President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim that many of those who looted the public treasuries in the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan had started returning the stolen funds to the government, saying the President should rather stay at home to govern the country instead of junketing around the globe and acting like a saint before the international community.
The governor challenged the President to tell Nigerians how much was returned and the looters who returned the stolen funds, adding that “Since the purported looted funds belong to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it ought to have been paid into the Federation Account and shared by the Federal, State and Local Government.”

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday that Governor Fayose advised President Buhari to tackle the collapsed economy of the country headlong instead of going from one country to another, casting aspersion on Nigerians with his sing-song of fighting corruption.

He said the President’s attitude was yet to change from that of 1984 when he was military Head of State, adding that; “Buhari’s statement in Tehran, Iran that it was easier for him as a military Head of State in 1984 to arrest corrupt individuals and put them in protective custody was a pointer to the fact that he has not changed from the dictator that he was then.

“The truth is that Buhari did not fight corruption in 1984. Rather, he persecuted great Nigerians, especially the likes Chief Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ambrose Ali, Chief Bisi Onabanjo, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Bola Ige, who served the people meritoriously. “Is Buhari justifying the imprisonment of Dr Alex Ekwueme, who was only the Vice President or All Progressives Congress (APC) leader like Chief Bisi Akande, who only served as a Deputy Governor?”

While urging the President to stop acting like the sole-administrator of Nigeria and the only honest man among Nigerians, Governor Fayose said “Nigerians are desirous of concrete developments, not rhetoric about fight against corruption that is only being used to persecute perceived political enemies of the President both in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and within the APC.

“As at today, Nigerians are faced with serious hardship occasioned by prolonged fuel scarcity that the Federal Government does not have any solution to. Multi-national companies are laying-off thousands of workers while contractors working for the Federal Government have left their sites.

Yet, what we get to hear from the President is noise in foreign lands about non-existing fight against corruption. “Honestly, this President should get to work and stop lying to Nigerians and the international community.”

    16. @Fresh you are one of the few people with senses on here, Nigeria system has deepened in rust that without living and earning in dubious and corrupt ways you won't even be recognize by your friends, family and neighbors. Just because this fool call Fayose and his colleagues who doesn't see free and unaccounted money from the central government like he used to during the shoeless president tenure he is busy buying media houses with daily attack on the new Govement. Get it right or not Buhari is calmly working underground to wash and put a new carpet in all the Govt agencies without making noise and also trying to redeem the country images, traveling and sorting out good allies is the only way forward to have anything to build a new system as people who are ready to still re-loot the treasury of given just a month are still on his neck with daily attacks on both newspaper and social media. Finally am not going to blame the youths we have in this country now as they are all lazy looking for a direct miracle from the Government instead of sitting right and unite to support the new Govt then hope for a better Nigeria within four years from now. Won't be surprise most of people who come here to write shits are the ones benefitting from the previous regime and now stranded without the stealing is not corruption strategy introduced by Dr Shoeless

    17. @Gabby U nailed it. If he expect the economic ruin caused by the PDP to be fixed in 1yr or less, then he's of all men a born liar. Talk is cheap, and even free in a democratic setting, but be rest assured that when the result of PMB's trips and strategies begin to yield fruits, Fayose and his cohorts will have to but bury their heads in shame. Fayose thinks governing Nigeria (a near-failed state) is like eating amala and drinking pammy around the streets of Ekiti state.
NB: I know that any slanderous statements from anyone against PMB will appeal to the Biafraud seekers. Their comments on this blogs reveals it clearly. Don't worry U will get ur false eldorado called Biafra and we will leave in one piece in our Nigeria.

  81. I swear all this APC supporters are all blind and maybe hypnotised to see what is going on..incase they have forgotten let me remind them.1 a dollar to naria has increase instead of the reducing imagine sefa is even higher than dollar now.2 job promised have become job sack instead.3fuel that we are suppose to buy for 40naira according to PMB is 250naira.5 BH he promised will end has not only increased but also killing the army and they are hiding the truth from the public.now he says they have returned money the Buhari that listened to during election said he will expose them so now why is he hiding them?if Buhari had lost election there would have been blood shed..it shows the kind of person he is.now people are insulting Fayose speaking the truth.niaja which way forward?

  84. FAyose, FAni Kayode, Doyin Okupe,Olisa Metu etc are still recovering from the PDP loss at the general elections. They are all rabble rousers, agents provacateurs and the beneficiaries of a dysfunctional system. The deranged man in Ekiti has lost relevance and has found a new way of being in the news(Buhari-bashing).

Now,let me tell you guys, even the angels in heaven rejoiced when Buhari took over power. He has come to clean the Augean stables of the irredeemably corrupt enterprise known as the PDP.

NEVER AGAIN WILL WE RETURN TO THE CANCER KNOWN AS PDP . Never again will a mediocre like the past team mess our country blind.

  85. The gutter boy is a bastard who never had a father so he cannot respect the AGED. A boy who never respect elders will not live long to join them in that old age. I weep for the fool fayose who will not live to Age of those he insults. His day is around the corner and we will rejoice to see it.

  88. People like Fayose will always praise him for being a dullard. How has Fayose increased the IGR of Ekiti State where he is governing, aside attending Agbero's party, buying salt and pepper and displaying the picture on the social media, what has he done. Fayose has spent one solid year in office, isn't it time for him to give account of his stewardship?
Fayose has forgotten that Ekiti people no matter how much they love him now, they will still come back for him for failing to raise the standard of living.
Fayose can not look inward and generate money to create jobs and reduce unemployment, he cannot raise the standard of schools in Ekiti, yet he is always attacking Buhari for attending a meeting where he could seek bilateral relations with people that matters.
Buhari has delegated his tasks to able men and women, ours to wait for result, else we can come after them. Fayose should remove the stings in his eyes before removing for other people.

  91. I pity the the fool called fayose. He had no father. His mother was Impregnated by a motor park tout and he is a bastard having demonstrated the traits of a fatherless bastard.

PMB is our president. we voted for him to clean up the mess of GEJ and fayose and their likes and whether they like it or not, the job will be done and arose and his gang of co looters will rot in hell and jail if they dare divert our funds into their private pockets. What OBJ did to fayose will be a childs play.
