First Lady Patience Jonathan says she hates violence
and can never in any way be associated with electoral violence. Speaking
with Punch through her media aide, Ayo Adewuyi, the first lady said
as President of the African First Ladies, she cannot be promoting
violence during and after elections
On the plans by the
APC to drag the first lady before the International Criminal Court over
her recent remarks in Calabar, where she said that anyone who talked about change should
be stonedd, the media aide said"The only thing we can say from here is that Dame Patience Jonathan is a woman of peace that can never in any way be identified with violence before, during and after elections. You do not expect somebody who is the President of African First Ladies to be promoting violence.” the aide said
"They are just notifying. The case is not yet in ICC. They are entitled to their opinions and actions. We are not going to be dragged into any argument with them".
Hope she is speaking the truth!

ReplyDeleteAyo Adewumi what about having your statement read like this: "The attention of the 1st lady has been drawn to the video circulating on the social media. The 1st lady is so saddened that her words are generating such a huge controversy and anger. In all fairness to the people that have expressed their disgust at my words, such words should never have been uttered. I sincerely apologise for such a careless statement that was never in anyway intended to incite violence. As long as I remain the 1st lady of our dear country Nigeria, a will redouble my effort in championing the cause of peace regardless of our political differences . I am sorry."
ReplyDeleteMay God in his infinite mercy bless u abundantly IJN

ReplyDeleteshe hates violence but she told Nigerians to stone any one clamouring for change. What do u call that? She should take a cue from d former first lady of ivory coast laurent gagagbo's wife who has just been sentenced to 20 years in prisonment for promoting post election violence after her husband lost. Patience Jonathan may b next cos of her continous lousy,unco-ordinated and provocative speeches she's been engaging in. So what d hell are they saying that she can never b associated with violence. These always think Nigerians are fools. Just hope Nigerians will prove they are not fools as presumed.
ReplyDeletechai..mama piss softly ooooo,ur mate mrs gbagbo don see red
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmm,
ReplyDeletePls repeat dis after me "I hate violence and can never be identified with electoral violence"... 3X.
Pls someone ask or tell her to b mindful of her words in d public domain so dat she wil not b associated wit violence.
Shut up der, r u nt 1 of r supporters? U r always happy antym fayose, ffk or any pdp member talk jagons now u wnt 2 form innocent soul, 2 who? Yeye dey smell 4 ur brain. I knw u 2 always think 4rm ur anus so y thinking 4rm ur head 2day?
DeleteDat he supports pdp does nt mean he supports her speech.
DeleteIf dats d case, den always be mindful wit ur comments/statements..
ReplyDeleteVery good woman . Very supportive of her husband. Different of the 'whore' wives we have in Nigeria today. even if I fail to support GEJ, it's still Patience all the day
ReplyDeleteThis is just the view of the media assistant to Dame, she herself said in broad daylight that supporters of an opposition party should be stoned. Isn't that an incitement for pre-election violence. I understand the guy has to justify his pay.
ReplyDeleteThis woman is sick to the bone. It is apparent that she does not think before talking; it is equally glaring that her husband cannot control her, which is an indication that he, the husband, the president is unworthy of leading this Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteSo who is worthy of ruling dis country u or ur unworthy parents or d most wicked man I have ever come across in life who is buhari. God forgive u
DeleteAnd you have mentioned his name. buhari, he is d ansa
DeleteI really dont understand, president of first ladies?
ReplyDeleteDamn! African foolish women
So stoning is not violence? This woman is just a huge disappointment! A disgrace to the title of First Lady. I wish she would just go dumb! Her mouth is a big problem ..
ReplyDeleteToo late my first lady... Ur image doesn't replicate ur position
ReplyDeleteGood one
ReplyDeleteMy first la
My first lady making sense
ReplyDelete@Galore
Her utterances would suggest otherwise. But given this is Patience we are talking about, we have to give chance to the probability that she was just making a market woman remark, which isn't new.
ReplyDeleteJust like ur mother make her own remarks in d market and on d stress
DeleteHey supporters club member... go attack mama violence and goat jona no one on lib will give u rice or dollars for supporting people who don't give a shit about u and ur wretched family. hungry low life.
DeleteYeah right! Your people in Okrika demonstrated that during APC's governorship campaign.
ReplyDeleteIdiot
DeleteIf only d laws in nigeria are Effective people will mind their utterances coz careless speech can insight violence
ReplyDeleteI gave up on her when she broke all norms of diplomatic tradition at the US airport and started shaking hands with the ambassador before oga Jona joined the queue.
ReplyDeleteJust like *fart* we are going to endure her till May or another 4 yrs.
...Mama J...
Then why did she say stones should be thrown at people who say change
ReplyDeleteIs that not violence?
Abeg make una park well
Hhahaha... is she afraid, we are saw and heard what she said on video "anybody that shout change, STONE THEM!"... dont worry Dame Patience... you will be next after Simeone Gbagbo
ReplyDeleteStory for de gods ooo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a contradiction. You hate violence, yet u are telling ur supporters to stone APC members. See what okrika people committed in your name wen Dakuku Peterside came to campaign in ur village.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you trying to cause when you said they should stone anybody that say CHANGE. Dont worry your case will soon be like Ivory Coast First Lady. Pele tie, mo ba e bo mo cooler. Sai Buhari.
ReplyDeleteWhat about self inflicted violence on the opposition? Do you equally hate that? Okay na
ReplyDelete::::::::::::::::::::QUEENMAYA::::::::::::::::::::
Ayo Adewuyi, Pls Explain the "Stoning" then if ya Principal is not. Violence Inclined, Plus her anti-Almajiri statements not forgetting the okrika massacre
ReplyDeleteNo Peace Ambassador or lover of Peace will ask that anybody be stoned for voicing their opinion. After inciting violence you are claiming peace? So if the youths begin to do your biddings you will claim abstinence? God Help You MAMA PEACE
ReplyDeleteI must say this got laughing real loud. . . . . . . . .they couldn't even deny her statements . . . .so lame
ReplyDeleteAre you a goat.do you deny the obvious, you should be the only Nigerian who didn't see the vid I guess...You young folks should try watching these news channels I beg you,it would help you a long way...I spend 4 hours everyday listening to news,2hrs local 2hrs world.and guess what am still cooler than you,am even into entertainment and let me blow your mind..am just 23 bruh....grow up you guys over here.and for your wild first lady what happened to Gbagbo might be hers if she doesn't realize campaigns are for politicians.she her self needs to read more books and emulate other First Ladies...and her aids ought to be fired by now if she isn't assorock controller General.p*ssy pressy
DeleteIf she really made that statement, she should be prosecuted
ReplyDeleteIf she really made that statement, she should be prosecuted
ReplyDeletemadam, watch ya tongue or u think b4 u speak.we dnt want blood 4 ds election.
ReplyDeleteWe hear u.. But still pack ur ghana must go, cos u and oga Jona will soon pack to Otuoke.
ReplyDeleteOk o mama peace
ReplyDeleteThat's my First Lady talking...You and your husband has already won...No contention!!!
ReplyDeleteSo she actually made the statement.Hummmmm it is well with Nigerians.
ReplyDeleteShe has started the violence already, maybe when she get to ICC criminal court, they'll serve her right. I pledge to Nigeria my country to vote Buhari and Osinbajo on 28 of march, to be gentle, loyal on election day, to say NO TO GEJ and PDP party, with all my strength, to protect my PVC and uphold no violence and trouble.. So help me God..
ReplyDeleteForward this to your frnds if you love Nigeria your country, enough is enough PDP and GEJ corrupt Government must go. #ihavedecided to vote for #change#
You are on your own Madam. Thr is God
ReplyDeletePlease we should allow Mummy Jona ooo yes she said so but we should understand that the statement came out without proper composition, we all know that she finds it difficult to compose her speech so I believe that word just came as she did not know what to put in the line.
ReplyDeleteWhile this 2015 election is getting more interesting, this fighting will continue.
ReplyDeleteEven the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCPCO) is formally filing a complaint against the First Lady, which it's now sending to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

ReplyDeleteThis woman is soo annoying.
ReplyDeletelol that is why she is mama peace.
ReplyDeletelinda observe
Everything about this couple is just wrong. Her husbands name is Goodluck, life in Nigeria under his administration shows otherwise. Her name is Patience, yet every time she opens her mouth her statements contradict the meaning of her name.
ReplyDeleteI hope to God Buhari wins. Enough of this madness abeg.
*BabyPebbles*
All this noise over the media and serious distractions will not deviate from the fact that APC has not given us a clear idea of what their change entails. All they have achieved is making over sized promises that don't just add up. At the end of the day the silent majority will finally have a say. They will speak up at the ballot box on the 28th of March.
ReplyDeleteWell, if she really do not like violence she shouldn't have said that na. She talked before thinking. That's a very wrong thing to say
ReplyDeleteThat is my Mama Peace talking, always peaceful
ReplyDeleteThat is my Mama Peace talking, always peaceful
ReplyDelete.....of course she doesn't want violence she only want you to stone those people shouting change..
ReplyDeleteShe don fear jail. I guess she heard about the Ivorian first lady that was just sentenced to 20 years in jsil for promoting violence. Idiot woman. Illiterate first lady.
ReplyDeleteThe first Lady is a peaceful woman. A woman of peace.
ReplyDeleteSo she can beg? shameless mongoloid.
ReplyDeleteIf this woman is indeed the president of African first ladies, Africa's hope is very slim. Divine intervention is urgently needed. Please God.
ReplyDeleteMr President don fail, you must give Jonathan chance to come back and repeat the same thing - Patience Jonathan.
ReplyDelete''We are not Bus Conductors that Ask for Change'' – Patience Jonathan.
STONE ANYONE Who Wants Change' - Patience Jonathan.
Stoning someone is not violence as stealing is not corruption.
She is right. Violence is not her way. Causing plane crashes and verbally insulting people and calling them names is more her style.
