Boko Haram attack military formation in Gombe, state govt impose 24hr curfew

Boko Haram militants this morning attacked a military formation in Dadikowa town in Gombe state. The sect members reportedly arrived the town at about 6am today in 36 Hilux buses and a dozen motorcycles and attacked soldiers at the security checkpoints of the town. They then forced their way into the town and burnt the quarter guard of the 301 Artillery Regiment. They bugled some shops and also burnt down public institutions including the police station in the town.

The Nigerian military has launched airstrikes on areas the sect members are currently attacking. The state government has imposed a 24hr curfew in the state.

    1. Why don't you join the military so you could help them on the offensive. Military this, military that...u no knw say nah humans like you. Ordinary burglar go come your house and you go wee for your pant.

    2. @obiora That's y they re the military and we are civilians..their job if they are fully equipped is to attack them before they attack civilians..stop with that dumb mentality of saying they are human and so should be as useless as civilians on d battle ground..they are to be trained to be ready for this and if they are not handling this well then something is wrong.

  15. The gods tell me that at this point, there'll be plots to make major parts of the north unstable and more violent than it used to be, just to make sure the northerners won't come out to vote their candidate of choice.
I do not guess this, I speak as the gods reveal.

  30. Maybe this will sound lame because I'm not in the military but after attacks, could BH members not have been followed or tailed by air or their tracks traced with satellite since land will be almost impossible to find out where they retire back to after a day out, if this is known, is it not just to go drop a few missiles there?

  39. #smh - If only GEJ and his corrupt officials handled this BH issues earlier; thousands of lives, the kidnapped girls and our soldiers who have died so far, would have been with their families. How come they finally entered Shanbisha forest after years? VOTE FOR CHANGE! WE NEED A LEADER!!

  40. Since the military don't want to go to sabimsa forest then the Boko Haram will come and meet them at their own base. SO sad that the sec broke into the state capital
