4 year old boy brutally attacked by dogs, returns home from India

Omonigho Abraham, the 4 year old boy who was violently attacked by dogs owned by a neighbour in his family home in Lagos, returned from India alongside his dad yesterday January 29th after a successful operation in the country. Omo had been in India since late last year.

Omo's dad praised the doctors in India for the successful completion of the operation, thanking God for ensuring that his son can now live a normal life. He also appreciated the Lagos State Government for their help in LASUTH, all the NGOs that got involved and the media for the attention given to his son.

  91. Hmm, thank God for the life of the boy and i feel their should be laws guiding the keep of domestic animals such as dogs. The Veterinary health scheme should be resuscitated so that domestic pet be taken for evaluation to check their well being from time to time so that the animals don't constitute as danger to the society.

  113. Linda thanks for this update.

First I want to ask who paid for the trip and treatment in India?

By the mother's account, when she rushed into the flat to pick up her child the dogs completely ignored her - they were busy chomping on the pieces of the boy which they had already ripped off!! Clearly, the dogs attacked the boy BECAUSE THEY WERE HUNGRY and they saw him as FOOD!! So the owner of the dogs still has huge civil and criminal liability for negligence.

Then what about the cowardly policemen who armed with automatic weapons, just stood there and watched the dogs eating the boy alive? One of them even said to the boy's mother: "Na me go die?"

The problem of Nigeria is our VALUES, and majority of our leaders are driven by the values of the society they grew up in.
