I don't hate the North - GEJ tells Northern leaders

Pres. Jonathan has refuted claims that he hates the people of Northern Nigeria. He set the record straight while hosting some Northern leaders at the state house in Abuja, yesterday January 7th.
“Some people say Jonathan hates the north; I have heard that statement and I tell Namadi Sambo; `they say I hate the north but you are here as my Vice-President’. I tell the National Security Adviser and my Principal Secretary the same thing. In fact my Principal Secretary (Hassan Tukur) has been my friend since I was the deputy governor of Bayelsa. I never knew I was going to come here as Vice-President not to talk of President. But I have known him since I was the deputy governor of Bayelsa.
My Chief Detail, Yusuf, is from Borno and has been with me since I was a deputy governor in Yenagoa. I see him as a good person and I have carried him along with me. So I had to ask how can somebody wake up and say I hate the north?” he said.
President Jonathan says he loves Northern Nigeria so much that out of the 12 Federal Universities his administration has established, 9 are within the Northern region. He says he has established more Almajiri schools in the north because he gets saddened by the percentage of school dropouts in the North.
"I feel we must enter the north with aggression through education. Whenever the statistics of school dropouts in the country is released, I’m not happy. The percentage from states in the north is sometimes as high as 50 (per cent) and even more. The last one was up to 70 per cent. I said no, we must change this statistics. Somebody who hates the people cannot talk about educating their children because the people we are educating are the future leaders of this country,” he said
While speaking to Northern elders, GEJ expressed his sadness over recent comments made by some Nigerians who are referred to as elder statesmen, According to him, elder statesmen who make provocative comments are just mere politicians
"Some people call themselves statesmen but they are not statesmen; they are just ordinary politicians. Being a statesman is not because you have occupied a big office before but the question is what are you bringing to bear? Are you building this country or are you a part of people who tell lies to destroy this country and to create enmity between people who ordinarily would have been living together? At the appropriate time Nigerians will know all of us even though I know most of you know us but the younger ones do not know. Some people are hiding under some clogs, some big names and creating a lot of problems in this country,” he said.

  8. Well the violence in the North will suggest otherwise! And GEJ has a lot of convincing to do to prove otherwise because he has being presented as the devil in the North and by saying he does not hate the North wouldn't just do! He needs to prove it.

The main prob on ground now is this religious issue which the northerners started at first because to be frank nd sincere the northerners aren't happy GEJ is ruling this country which has be the origin of bokoharam. So if they say GEL don't like the northerners, which I can't tell, they should be blamed for that becos they the norther leaders started it all

  31. political mentality: Hatred is corrosive of a person's wisdom and conscience; the mentality of enmity can poison a nation's spirit, instigate brutal life and death struggles, destroy a society's tolerance and humanity, and block a nation's progress to freedom and democracy.
For me Mr. President is a man of tolerance, peace and not violence.

  62. INEC and Nigerian army are NOT in possession of Buhari's original certificate. I repeat, they are NOT with Buhari's original copies of certificates. So, Buhari, please, find another excuse. It is plausible lie that your camel ate the original copy of your educational certificate.

It is an insult for General Buhari to think he can pull a fast one on Nigerians, again.

Buhari does not possess the required educational certificates to contest in Nigeria's February 2015 presidential election. That is the truth. Buhari sought to fool Nigerians and "arangee" his gap-tooted self into Aso Rock. To mislead, rather than submit the ORIGINAL of his educational certificates, he knowingly submitted a sworn affidavit to INEC so that no one gets to see the non-existent ORIGINAL copy. Buhari is a known lair and deceiver. He cannot and should never be trusted. Anyone can swear an oath. In a presidential election, sworn affidavit is not enough. We don't want "arangee" photocopy of his credentials.

Nigeria and Nigerians want Buhari to submit his ORIGINAL educational credentials, on time, for verification, before the February 2015 election. If the same Buhari that's been screaming "CHANGE" cannot obey the law, and considers himself above the law, what does Buhari's "CHANGE" really mean? "Arangee"? Business as usual? Dictatorship?

Below is a multiple choice question for former Head of State, military dictator, tyrant, human rights abuser, sharia law advocate and APC's presidential flag bearer in the forthcoming elections, (retarded / geriatric / retired) General Muhammed "arangee" Buhari, the geriatric "Mahdi."

In Nigeria, what should an official order (that has the force of law) be called?

    (A) This question is haram

    (B) Sharia law

    (C) I will like to phone a friend

    (D) Law of God

    (E) God of law

    (F) I hate infidels

    (G) Fatwa

    (H) Manifesto

    (I) Decree

    (J) Law of nature

    (K) Nature of law

    (L) Act of parliament

    (M) Parliament of act

    (N) Commandment

    (O) Sharia law or fatwa

    (P) Decree or sharia law

    (Q) The original copy of my brain is with the army

    (R) All of the above

    (S) None of the above.

  65. Such accusations against Jonathan are not new. It is the strategy for getting everything. So to prove his love, he concedes everything to them. CHECK: from Senate President, Speaker, CJ, IG, NSA, GMD(NNPC), to CDS, Minister of Defense, Head of Customs/Prisons/NPA/EFCC/INEC/PDP/Court of Appeal/NDIC, Head of Service etc, etc!!! Question is, does Jonathan understand the deadly game being played?

  67. Nigeria was destroyed by the north and for some reason we managed to take power from them. Since then, they haven't made the country conducive for all of us. Instead of fighting back, my Yoruba brothers have decide be the snitches they have always been. Same thing that happened in the civil war. There's nothing like one Nigeria, there's nothing like change
