We know where Chibok girls are, but won't use force to rescue them - Military

Nigeria's Chief of Defense Staff Air Marshall Alex Badeh today said that the Nigeria military has been able to locate the 200+ girls abducted in Chibok on April 14th but will not use force to rescue them because that could put the girls in great danger as the insurgents could kill them.

He revealed this today while addressing a group of protesters, the Citizens Initiative for Security Awareness, outside the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. He said the military knows what they are doing and should be allowed to continue their work
"We want our girls back. The military can do it, but where they are held, can we go with force? The good news for the girls is that we know where they are but we can't tell you. Just leave us alone. We are working. We will bring the girls back" He said

    1. You must be a fool for writing the above bonita bisalam. U assume u know where the girls are abi. You people should really allow them to do their job. It took US over 10yrs after 9/11 to get osama. People like Oby ezekwesiri and you are just causing unnecessary distrations. The army wants volunteers to recruit and oby and people like you has refused to apply. Hypocrites.

    2. I wonder how many more have to die before the situation can be classified as hostile requiring force. I'm sure he's hogwashing like they always do but if infact bh's location has been discovered this man should be held responsible for any other deaths resulting from future attacks. "Leave us alone" what a joke.

  9. Good idea tho... but they should be quick in coming up with a retrieval strategy cos the longer the girls stay with those callous. monsters, the higher the danger their lives are in. Please bring back those girls in time, it's almost two months since they've been gone. I can only imagine the kind of trauma they've been put through.

  25. Absolute rubbish!!! Who sent you to talk. Their abductors have outsmarted the so called military so many times and they will EASILY do it again. Instead of him to shut his stupid mouth and make sure his men do the right thing to bring those beautiful innocent souls home (that's if they tare even saying the truth about locating them) he's talking nonsense. Their abductors have access to Internet, TV, radio, social media and all so letting them know you've found them is not the wiser idea mr oga! I'm so pissed right now #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS .... Bring them home!!!!!

    1. I choose not to be perturbed from ensconcing myself in the palatable arms of Morpheus because people have deprived themselves of the cultivation of the regime of the mental magnitude. I read all the farrago of baloneys and vacuous bunkum from u which is mentally Synonymous to pepper soup objurgators. The spirit of animadversion remains your most treasured fundamental human right.
However, I cannot put my nose to the grindstone daily and expect people like u to understood by those luxuriating in a modus vivendi, the precarious nature of security ish it has a philosophical wag not once pontificated that things of such are publicly discerned.Otherwise these muderous urchins of bringback our girls machevellians will continue with that higgy haga. We will speak more on this matter of critiques and chichi dodo.

Oga defence chief,Nigeria’s military forces after the civil war transformed from a military in the conventional sense to an ARMED POLITICAL PARTY….like every other institution in Nigeria, corruption has destroyed the military as well.#Kgems.

  42. You can't blame him for leaking such viable and delicate detail. On a general view, we Nigerians are known to be very impatient and pathetic, thereby mounting pressure on leaders.

If he doesn't talk we'll complain, same applies if he does. Leaving them in tight corners.

Am not a force person neither am i a security expert, infact am just an ordinary student but I could possibly list 3 fool proof methods of approach that will definitely gurantee the retrieval of these girls, within 7days.

Dey are all making NOISE....at d end of d day w would hear dat billions of naira and dollars was spent on d bring back our girls campaign...arrant nonsense.gosh.... when would we ever get wise in dis shit hole of a country called nigeria...dis bring back our girls was just an avenue to spend and loot money at d expense of innocent lives while d incesant bombing cases is juat to force jona to tender his resignation from office....mehn deris God oh...deris God in everything we are doing....CONTINUE

  54. I know the military is really yearning for the praises of the citizens since they've been criticized most of the time by the citizens. It is very careless giving out every info on the girls. You can't tell me that the insurgents don't know that you know where the girls are when it's all over the net. Keep it quiet. Inform the families of the girls only if you must talk.

  59. Discreet should be the word to this operation. Nigeria army please keep this kind of info to yourself next time, till the mission has been proven successful. Osamas mission was done in secrecy. Abeg grow up with this junk journalism. Except this is a decoy, to make them try to move the girls to another location for easier apprehension. Just saying.

  60. might be good to bring them back just before their whole psyche is destroyed, oh and if you put in mind possible daily rape risk of infections e.g. HIV,hep B, pregnancies perhaps you get our drift get off your butts and do something bet f your daughter was on fire you won't want to use force hiss

    ReplyDelete
  61. Our military are just stupid! Uve found the girls but are u supposed to announce it publicly? Why not keep it a secret until u scratch out a rescue plan and go for them? Boko haram reads the news, now they knw these girls have been discovered, the next step will be to relocate them and then this whole search will start again...
