Farouk Lawan released on bail

Embattled lawmaker Farouk Lawan was this afternoon released on bail after being in police custody at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, for two days. He was released on the condition that he produces the alleged $620000 bribe he received before the end of next week.

His international passport was also seized by police to prevent him from traveling out.

Chris Brown mad at TMZ

 

Chris is angry at TMZ because the media outlet reported that it was Chris' posse that accidentally hit Chris Brown's bodyguard, Big Pat, with the bottle that sliced his forehead open, and not anyone from Drake and Meek Millz' entourage. See the rest of his rants after the cut.

Meanwhile despite denying his involvement in the brawl, independent eyewitnesses have told detectives from the New York Police Department that Drake absolutely started the fight by throwing a bottle at Chris. The police might arrest Drake after concluding their investigations.

Transgender pageant winner murdered in South Africa

 

A 23 year old South African man who won a Miss Gay pageant last year has been killed.

Thapelo Makutle (pictured above), known as Queen Bling, was found in his room with his throat slit last week Saturday. His friend told police that Thapelo had argued with two heterosexual men the previous day about his sexuality,  the two men followed him home, broke down his door and killed him.

The late Makutle was active in the LGBT community in the Kuruman region, and his family and friends are angry that no one has been arrested for his murder despite the fact that the attackers description was given to police.

Killing someone because of their sexuality is the height of man's inhumanity to man. So sad!

Teacher hacks husband to death, reports self to police

A teacher in Usi-Ekiti in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State has hacked her husband to death.

It was gathered that the suspect, Mrs. Rafatu Agboola, killed her husband, Akeem Agboola, who was asleep with a machete and reported herself to the police in Usi-Ekiti immediately.

The 37 year old rapper was photographed in LA recently with puffy facial features; puffy cheeks, altered lips, uneven brows, and a much smaller nose.

She's had a lot of work done on that face of hers over the years but the latest one has really altered her old look. Plastic surgeons in LA say her new look is an example of surgery gone bad and are worried the singer has suffered some sort of muscle or nerve weakness due to her numerous cosmetic procedures. They said her lower lip on the left side is not working well.

The Parkers/Moesha actress Yvette Wilson dies at 48

If you watched Brandy's sitcom Moesha, or Mo Nique's sitcom The Parkers, then you definitely know Yvetter Wilson. She was Mo'Nique's best friend in The Parkers. The actress and comedian died yesterday Thursday June 14th after losing her battle with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer. She was 48 years old.

She was one of my favorite female comedians. So sad! May her soul rest in peace...amen

I live in the US now but I lived the first 18years of my life in Naija. I'm 20 now and I live with my sister who is 10 years older than I am. It's just the two of us my mother has and I love my sister very much. She filed papers to have me here in the states and I live under her roof and don't pay any bills. Her husband is a traveling business man from naija too and he is the best man you would ever meet. He's so good to my family, a good Christian and he hardly ever raises his voice or gets mad.

Farouk Lawan suspended

Farouk Lawan was this morning suspended as chairman of the Federal House of Reps Committee on the probe of the management of fuel subsidy, as well chairman of the Education Committee, over the bribery alegations hanging on his neck.

He is currently in detention at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Man arrested in Badagry for killing pregnant wife

A middle age man, Kola Ajibola, is in the police custody for allegedly killing his pregnant wife. The incident occurred at Badagry area of Lagos, last Wednesday, during a scuffle between Kola and his wife, Funmilayo, who was said to be five months pregnant at the time.

Enebeli Elebuwa denies being healed by Sign Fireman; the man of God calls him a liar

Some of you probably saw the video I uploaded last month which purportedly showed Enebeli being healed by popular Lagos pastor, Sign Fireman, at his church (if you missed it, read it HERE).

The veteran actor later said he was never healed by Fireman; that Fireman stage managed his healing. Enebeli said Fireman asked two people to hold his legs and move them, making it look he walked, that he never walked.

I've featured this gay couple on LIB a few times before, but let me re-introduce them. Chika (pictured above on the left) is a Nigerian gay man who lives in Germany. He married Marc Schwartz (pictured above on the right) a few years ago, but the union ended in 2010.

Drake, through his reps, has denied any involvement in the fight that took place at a nightclub in NYC last night that left Chris Brown with a gash on his chin...

Drake is adamant ... he is not responsible for the bloody gash on Chris Brown's face ... claiming he was simply leaving the nightclub when the brawl broke out ... but sources tell us, the fight started after Chris Brown and a rapper at Drake's table started trash talking each other.

The rapper hanging with Drake -- Meek Mill -- was screaming at Chris and Chris was giving it right back to Meek Mill. One of Chris' lieutenants was also involved in the screaming match.
