    1. And cos your ignorant enuf u v not looked at list of bearers. The Olympic torch is not carried or has not been carried by football icons alone. So kindly do ur research cos knowledge is power. Eg jedward still carried d torch when it passed thru Ireland.

  19. Agudosi honey, i'm afraid i really don't care if its right or wrong to put some artists in that category. I was just expanding CHI's list for her (or him) since it isn't only Nigeria that has actresses/celebs as torch bearers

I hate to break it to you but quite a number of countries are also sending celebs in this same category to the olympics as well so i suggest you take your case to the IOC if you REALLY think its wrong.

Just look at a country like Russia using world No ONE female tennis player Maria Sharopva, look at Great Britain(GB) using d world class footballer in person of David BEkehm LA galazy midfielder, and Ryan Giggs the Manchester united legend..... What is Funke, Banky and Yaw doing here? Don't we have famous celeb i mean international celeb in person of Geneviev Nnaji, Tuface Idibia, jayjay Okocha and the host of others.... 40. all i will say is "nothing in this world has any value except the value man places on it"...the Olympics is nothing more than an occult ceremony that has been foisted on the world sadly through sports...carrying an Olympic torch is not a big deal and should not be causing this much argument. However, because of the value (which it rightly should not have) some treacherous men have placed on it, y'all are now deceived to make such a big deal out of it. Please use your time wisely in investing in yourself and getting the most out of it and whether the world recognizes it or not should not be your problem so long as you are happy and fulfilled. my tow cents...

  46. Anyone can be chosen to be a torch bearer! All the 8000 people selected to carry the torch for the 70 days journey were chosen because of their various contributions to their communities. I am a torch bearer too carrying the torch through Blectchingley on the 20th of July 2012. The selection process was unbiased as long as you scaled through the security and background checks.Below is the link to confirm my participation.I feel greatly honoured to be among the chosen and more importantly to be a nigerian.
