He no do! U complain...he does! u still complain...nigerians and their stupid pull him down attitude!! Mtcheew..... When u commend someone when he does well and criticize him when fails to do what he is suppose to do! He now takes ur view and strives to do well all d time to b praised....when u criticize all d time what's d use?
Linda..u sure that wasn't photoshopped..abi GEJ is working??..this is a monumental feat!!..many have died on this road..including Fred West..MC LOPH!! Citizens Right or not..many Presidents didn't do nothing...commendable and do you know Power Supply is about to be de-regulated??...
Well done GEJ...left lagos last week friday for warri by 3pm and got home jux in time for dinner ie 7pm..was S̴̩☺̴̩̩̥̩̩̩̥ happy. This is a̷ welcome development.
Good to see to acknowledge some changes slowly but surely na with all the wealth in Naija we should be leading the way if not in Africa at least in West Africa but surprisingly enough I think only Naija doesn't have a national network for electric power smh
This is commendable. Fix the PHCN and we would not mind if you have to amend the constitution to stay for another 7 years. http://signup.wazzub.info/?lrRef=b379b
Yes o. I have friends staying in ore who told me the portion is still as bad as ever even though rain hasn't commenced. That's why i always wonder what the noise is all about
That's the problem with Nigerians: we beg and praise public officers too much. Why praise the President for carrying out his legitimate duty to the people and country? He should be arraigned and jailed for waiting two years to do it, and other Presidents before him should be lined up and shot for failing to do it; not that these actions would make up for the thousands of lives that road took.
I completely agree with u. We celebrate mediocracy too much n re way to sentimental. Cos of dis 1km stretch fixed on the Benin lagos road, pple re ready to him again n not his party. They hav conveniently forgotten the state the country is in with all the looting goin on etc. We shouldn't sell ourselves short for our right pple! It's our right to hav his roads, healthcare, jobs, education, housing, power supply, etc, so until we hav all of these n more, let's not be carried away cos of wat govt is suppose to provide for her citizens. And let's not forget security of lives and properties from both domestic n foreign threats I beg.
D minister of works, engr. Onolenme is a find, he is doing so well, presently work's ongoing on d ugbowo axis of dis road in benin city.it's pple like dis GEJ needs around him, not d one dat will wear boots and helmet and be crying at d state of d road but will do nothing abt it! Mtchewwww!!
the road looks good. i wonder if they still have the stupid 'check points'. i went from lagos to igbinedion (okada) and there were exactly 40 checkpoints in the 4hr journery. it got reallyyyyyy annoying. They wont even take 100 naira from you ooo... mchewwwwwww. its ridiculous. Carry guns and road blocks to collect money bcos the crime you committed is going to school
Well...I don't think GEJ should be praised...We should tell him 'Do more'...You praise him and he feels he's done a lot....He should provide the masses with the basics...He has done nothing yet...I can't remember when last I saw a pot-hole...because where I am,the government works!...We can be like that too...

Opeee O! Nice one. But my fear is the duration before it gets damaged, considering the nature of job most contractors do... Well half-bread is better than none. iNaija
15 yrs ago, benin-lagos was a 3hrs journey. Am not impressed, considering how many pple have lost their lives on dis evil rd. Anyway may God continue to change our leader's evil mindset. Even U̶̲̥̅̊я great grandchildren will be proud of U̶̲̥̅̊я gud work if U̶̲̥̅̊ work. D̶̲̥̅̊ president that can change D̶̲̥̅̊ power situation in 9ja is D̶̲̥̅̊ only one dat can impress ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥. My fingers я̩̥̊ crossed Gej!
Please why not make it 4 lanes at once. This is the major motorway of Nigeria. I pay taxes so why so it is due but still good job for what it is worth.
abi is this for GEJ reelction for 2015 as it is ehn they want favours you see dem go dey do good after dem receive am now dem go back to square one mshcew.....all said good deve as i would be going to benin soon myself!!!!
Wow, well done GEJ!!!!!! Please keep it up! A lot of souls have been lost here and I hope this puts an end to that at least. Even though it's our right as citizens of FRN to have good roads, the fact still remains that we didn't but now we are beginning to see change. We should commend GEJ and whomever decided not to loot all the money and actually did what they are supposed to do--no matter how miniscule. I hope GEJ continues this way.
May the soul of all the people that have died on this road rest in peace. My dear Linda, thank you so much for bringing us this piece of good news. It is long over due.I do not think GEJ deserve any praise. This is one of his government's responsibility to the citizens of Nigeria.
Most Nigerians are sycophants, that is why when the govt does a fragment of what is supposed to be her duty, we start singing praises. In civilized democracies where public opinion counts, any lost of life due to bad roads, would have lead to agitation for the minister to resign and face prosecution. How many lives have been lost bcos of bad roads? Needless to say that Nigeria makes billions of Naira everyday from the sell of oil. Do we have any social welfare system? No. Electricity? No. Protection of life? No. So what else do we use to measure a functional govt?
What else do you want us to say, to continue to curse them and abuse them or what. If they make little progress, we should encourage, and hope for a consistency.
Of course, this is what we expect them to do but if we already have a failed governement, people can only do little. We can give up on the government but can't give up on the people.
My only advice, Nigerians need to stop wasting money on useless things, we should get more involved in the government whether through protest, rallies and bringing major attention. We should also learn to invest instead of showing it off on material things.
Its a Federal Highway.reason why it cannot be Adams Oshimole..9ja is so frigging tribalistic and the Hausas are worse at this..Notice how anything Federeal that passes thru your respective states have become rubbish..visit those Federel Govt Schools..Federal Universities..most if not all in dire deplorable states.. If GEJ can do something really cool about Power supply through deregulation..breaking that monopoly..his re-election would be a done deal!! I agree he should do better..shouldnt do same cos the predecessors did nothing..remember Senegal..can get booted out!!
When he bought those new airplanes and Nigerians complained,he said it had already been budgeted for by the late Yar'adua admin. Now he also should tell Nigerians that Yar'adua was also the one that approved the rehab of this road. There's no sense in deflecting the criticism and admitting the commendations
the road has not been fixed...only some bad portions of the road were repaired, but construction is still going on. I pas through the road every tuesday and friday os i know what i am talking about, if you doubt me go to mile 2 and enquire from the drivers who ply the road everyday.
YAaay I am the frist.nice one
ReplyDeleteReally? Let's praise GEJ for this. The road has been in a bad state for so long. He should keep it up and do more
ReplyDeleteWell done ke? Is it not our right as citizens to enjoy such amenities? Pls if should do& sort out Nepa too.

ReplyDeleteoh okay!!! This must be the disma bisma anomy road that Hon Pat Obahiagbon was talking about loool. Thank God they fixed it.
ReplyDeleteIf this is true all the way, then God be praised....that road has claimed more lifes than i wish to recall not to mention the frequent robbery...
ReplyDeleteNow comes our maintenance culture test,
I think the roads should be expanded, to accomodate for more lanes on both sides and possibly truck-only lanes..
ReplyDeleteApril fools day gist...
