Pictures of coffins placed in front of UNIBEN Bursar's residence

This looks like a scene straight from Nollywood but it's not. This is real life. Dr May Nwoye, the Bursar of the University of Benin, woke up Friday morning March 30th, to find two coffins and some juju objects in front of her residence, located at the senior staff quarters in the university premises. By that same night, a smaller coffin with a doll was found, not in front of her gate this time, but in front of her door...

Not only that, my sources in Benin say the woman has been receiving death threats on her phone and a few weeks back, her security was withdrawn by the school authority. Plus since the coffin was found in front of her residence, no UNIBEN security has visited the house.

All this Nnkan nbe moves. Continue to the see more photos...

      .
Bros, that is more than an innocuous April Fool prank to be discarded by the wave of the hand.
      .
      .
Linda appear to have been economical with the details of the story.
      .
      .
BTW, peddling shigidi, coffins & okija jujus around in an academic environment, in 21st century, 2012 for that matter in the name of settling scores??..like seriously??

Are we still in Stone Age???

    7. Nothing controversial about this, my dear your mum has said the obvious fact. I schooled and stayed in Benin for 11yrs of my life. They are very fetish and visiting juju/shrine is an acceptable norm to them. Its worse off if a non Benin girl marries a Benin man. Most Benin family visit juju for "consultations" and their are notable shrines for that in Benin.

I served there and worked with a reputable bank in Benin for about 8 years before I moved abroad.I also observed that most men who marry from Edo do not marry the Benin ones.

If I remember correctly, Eki Igbenedion was trying to do something about prostitution at home and abroad in the state then. I guess the project went down the way of Governors' Wives Pet Projects.

When he told me that his grandma back home is the head of one shrine and his mom told him never to eat at his granny's house I thought it was rather strange. Anyway, the guy was a piece of work, womanizer, sexaholic( yes he admitted to me that he is addicted to Sex), and just a hot tempered guy. I changed my number and informed security at my work to never let the guy come around the premises. This doesn't mean all Benin guys are like that this was my experience.
