This looks like a scene straight from Nollywood but it's not. This is real life. Dr May Nwoye, the Bursar of the University of Benin, woke up Friday morning March 30th, to find two coffins and some juju objects in front of her residence, located at the senior staff quarters in the university premises. By that same night, a smaller coffin with a doll was found, not in front of her gate this time, but in front of her door...
Not only that, my sources in Benin say the woman has been receiving death threats on her phone and a few weeks back, her security was withdrawn by the school authority. Plus since the coffin was found in front of her residence, no UNIBEN security has visited the house.
All this Nnkan nbe moves. Continue to the see more photos...

.
Bros, that is more than an innocuous April Fool prank to be discarded by the wave of the hand.
.
.
Linda appear to have been economical with the details of the story.
.
.
BTW, peddling shigidi, coffins & okija jujus around in an academic environment, in 21st century, 2012 for that matter in the name of settling scores??..like seriously??
.
.
Are we still in Stone Age???

ReplyDeleteWhat rubbish!!seriously I dnt even knw d meaning of dis act...All dis Benin pple with their day time witchcraft..mscheeeeew,she just needs to be very careful and pray more.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what she did or refused to do to get all these treats.
ReplyDeleteEiiiiiiiissshhhhh what a devilish scene. Be soaked in the blood of Jesus madam. It's well
ReplyDeleteI know this is going to be controversial but my parents told me never to marry from Benin..Even a Benin person confessed to me that in every household there's always someone heavily into this ojuju stuff.its well ingrained in their pysche!!
ReplyDeleteU are very stupid
DeleteRubbish statements....is it only Benin pple dt are into witchcrafts? Ds is Africa, witchcraft and idol worshiping are found virtually everywia.....have u not heard of okija shrine, d ijebus jazz, d indians rings and shrines, d chinese even d so called mallams have ojuju....stop fooling urself wt barbaric and uncircumcised stories... Juju is everywhere.
DeleteIf u like call the person that commented above stupid, i totally agree with him/her. Benin people? No way, i can never marry from there, their witchcraft no get part 2.
DeleteI second that! Idiot!!! Stupidity runs in ur blood.
DeleteI come from a bini family nd not evry1 is into juju.dere r exceptions to evry rule dear!
DeleteMy dear, it's not all but a good majority. I don't blame u sha. @2nd Anon truth hurts.
DeleteNothing controversial about this, my dear your mum has said the obvious fact. I schooled and stayed in Benin for 11yrs of my life. They are very fetish and visiting juju/shrine is an acceptable norm to them. Its worse off if a non Benin girl marries a Benin man. Most Benin family visit juju for "consultations" and their are notable shrines for that in Benin.
DeleteIf u see benin guy , run for your life, I know someone that's been abnormal since she started dating one. It is so true, I pray all the doing it burn.
DeleteApril fool ke!!..don't play with Benin people!!
ReplyDeleteDs's a normal thing in benin city..

ReplyDeleteOf cos u may ask, anyone can ask anything but it doesn't mean they'r all going to get responses
DeleteSame tin happend 2 d rector of auchi poly. D coffin, they brought was wrapped wit white cloth n blood stain al ova it 3months ago. Reason was dat they don't want 2 b ruled by a woman. It was drama dat day on campus, d security men fled n d big MADAM, came down 4rm her office lukd @ d coffin, smild n walkd away. Dat's wen i knew dat madam don ova cook herself. They same group who brought d coffin came 2 carried back afta apostle suleman hammerd hot prayers. So it a normal tin here in Edo state, there jazz no get part 2.
ReplyDeleteRan for her life? I take that as a typographical error.
ReplyDeleteApril fool!!!
ReplyDeleteExactly what the rubbish deserved, to be burnt.
ReplyDeleteBenin people don't hide there jazz. And me cannot marry a man 4rm dere. U wil c a live goat kept @ a junction wit oda tins like yam, palm oil etc n a topless woman sayn incantations around 9am in d mornin. She no send u @ all.
ReplyDeleteThis is the reason why we can not produce ordinary bicycle in this country, a situation where University dons resort to fetish means to achieve political gains, while their colleagues in other countries are flying to the moon, they are busy perfecting their arts in witchcraft. We have a long way to go.

@Blaa, Immediately I understood who u were referring to I nearly fell off my chair, lolz. U r a bad sombori.
ReplyDeleteShocking! I'm the more revolted, knowing this good-fearing, generous, and peace-loving family. I can't think of any CRIME that would deserve such psychological warfare. Nothing justifies such wickedness. Do the powers that be have something to do with this primitive, wanton act, considering their indifference and even the withdrawal of Dr Mrs Nwoye's security? She's in God's hands.
ReplyDeleteall dis is uncalled for,if them wan jazz her them no need do all dis, nah just to scare her joooh

nawa o!!! wonders shall never end!! where were all the so called security guys when the person did this!??
ReplyDeleteIf there is anything people fear, its death. Capital punishment, death by hanging is the best deterrent for such animals.
ReplyDeleteI think its a 'apirl fool'
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that in these days, people still resort to this fetish thing to deal with their 'enemies'!! It really embarasses me as a human being and as a Nigerian
ReplyDeleteWow!! Damn shame...she must be really spooked!! May d Lord protect her.
ReplyDeleteP.S- she shld take frenchie's advice and 'ran' oooo

ReplyDeleteMe sef don laff tire oooo. She better ran for her life hahahahahahah!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad that things like this still happens now. Too Bad!!!.
ReplyDeleteThe Bursar should be more prayerful and should move closer to God, else, things like this should not be taken for granted. I know somewhere a similar true life story happened this time the "Jazz" was kept on the Woman's seat, a security man came and removed it, I later learnt the man died in place of the woman. http://www.mynaijainfo.blogspot.com
This is the 1st & only time you've made sense & I must applaud u despite ur random lame comments in the past. I see d advice ppl gave u on the blog Linda posted about Karen abi na rihanna? Dey work. See we youngens can teach grown asses how to act. Glad you stepped up & been just a few days.
DeleteAll of u shouting Benin pple n witchcraft, I'm sure u would have cursed Gbenga if he was d one who wrote those words. Stupid, foolish tribalistic idiots.....mschewwwwwww
ReplyDeleteshe's neva bn wantd in dat post bein from a non-indigenous tribe. her opposition even went as far as takin d mata 2d NUC all 2no avail cos she's got d support of the VC.
ReplyDeleted VC is a STRONG BINI man (feel free 2think deep 2undastand wt i mean) tho it is doubtfl he can stand against d legion comin afta Dr Nwoye.
Dear Dr., recently, i'v bn hearin 4rm all nooks this: if u fear death, u'll die easily. jst giv ur assailants a 'talk2dhand' pose n "RESIGN"..very gracefully. doesnt mean u'r fraid. jst means u love ur grnd children more than u'd love 2giv ur haters d pleasure of seein u die.
This looks like voodoo. The bursar and other top shots should go to church, pray and pour anointing oil on their heads.
ReplyDeleteThis is scary. They should ask God to return every arrow of death to the sender(s). Amen!
Who are more fetish out of Badagry, Benin and Ijebu people?
ReplyDeleteGood question...
DeleteBini people and their jazz
ReplyDeleteThe VC Professor Oshodin needs to be removed promptly!! He has failed the nation by stooping to this level for the sake of ethnic politics..Overly criminal and very sad that this happens in a federal institution! May God protect the Igbos worldwide!!
ReplyDeleteÆ”☺ΰ must be a goat for saying dis wat has D̶̲̥̅̊ VC got to do with dis is it D̶̲̥̅̊ VC dat ask D̶̲̥̅̊ woman to pay her driver 1million as salary every month or D̶̲̥̅̊ chief accountant 3million she is a big thief A nd shld be dealt with seriously she neva see anything yet dis is just begining return all D̶̲̥̅̊ money Æ”☺ΰ stole A nd Ђåvε̲̣̣̣̥ ur peace
DeleteLet me get this straight, she has been receiving death threats and even had coffins and juju placed in front of her resident yet her security was withdrawn and no UNIBEN security has visited her resident?? What the hell? This doesn't even make sense! I would expect her security to be increased and tightened.
ReplyDeleteAll yeah idiots insulting benin people will u shut up.don't let me place curses on all of u.
ReplyDeleteThese are the sorts of things that stop our progress as a country. Shame.
ReplyDeleteDo not mess with the Benins their stock-in-trade are voodoo and prostitution. They messed up Edo state as far as am concerned.I have not seen girls that desperate in my 30+ years on earth.A good number of families have a shrine or two.
ReplyDeleteI served there and worked with a reputable bank in Benin for about 8 years before I moved abroad.I also observed that most men who marry from Edo do not marry the Benin ones.
If I remember correctly, Eki Igbenedion was trying to do something about prostitution at home and abroad in the state then. I guess the project went down the way of Governors' Wives Pet Projects.
Lmao, benin winch capital. When we travel 2 our village we usually pass benin. Our parents ask us to wind up our windows so dat ojuju won't enter
ReplyDeleteAlmost died laffing ....epic
DeleteRondfl. Omg.ur hilarious
Deletemake she pour her urine on top it would neutralise anything nonsense
ReplyDeletethis is serious and mean... i cant believe ppl can still be this babaric. my advice is for her to leave the sch premises and get a secured accomodation in town.
ReplyDeletethe formal bursa who held that position for over 10yrs was resided outside the sch and had a lot of personal securities, i kn this cos they were my niegbour and family frnd.
the fact is there is so muchhhhhhh money in that her position even better than d vc and some despirado re ready to kill for it.
get close to God and move out fast.
plessssss this is not pecular to benin ppl alone, both yoruba and igbos will and are doing worse.mweeeeeeeeee am a proud benin girl married to yoruba and i must say charater is personal so dont generalise.
Mmmmm.i pity any body dating or ving anytin to do wit α̲̅ benin-edo person, cOs they r very devilish.she shud take it to God in prayer.
ReplyDeletelmao, Bini people have come again. If I was her, I would move from that place and go incognito. Though I am hesitant about believing in juju, but I am not willing to test it though.
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO @ madam ran oooooo
ReplyDeletelooool.........Ran for her life,gbolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......................
ReplyDeletePeople just open their mouths and chat sh*t! excuse me! what makes you think that its a bini person that placed those things infront of the lady's house? Is it only bini people that live and work in Uniben? what nonsense??... half of you chatting sh*t about bini people have never visited the place and don't know jack about Benin.
ReplyDeleteY'all just chat the bullsh*t your retarded forefathers passed down to y'all.... bloody stereotypical sh*t!! Nonsense!! If the same thing happened in Anambra, Okija or wherever, y'all will have something to say right? bloody retards...
Y'all better get some education...bigots!! stewwid people.. and linda, Post my comment..
p.s.. all them jazz in Benin are imported from yorubaland just incase you fools don't know... ogun, sango, ayelala, etc... None of the jazz they use in Benin have bini names and allllllll and I repeat allllllll can be traced to yorubaland.. so wtf are you all about???
BiniPrincess!
Heyy easy Bini Princess, what's come over you? U sound like u r frustrated or something? U call ur self a lady/princess and you are spitting soo much hate and foul language. You feel that's the best way to "clean up una image"? Don't take it too personal, what people say is just their opinion and not necesarily the truth.... Abiii u get shrine na so body dey scratch u...lol
ReplyDelete@ joey, Mr Correct grammar "run" and not "run"? hehehehehehehe. I'm guessing you were going for "run" and not "ran".
ReplyDeleteNow ran away from here before I called your English teacher and told her. HEHEHEHEHE
I was the one adviced by my parents.. remember going to School once we had to pass through Benin...and was the first time i ever set eye on dem fetish things..I was aghast what the heck!!..I still remember it like yesterday..just messed me up..
ReplyDeleteDid a bit of schooling in Calabar and with all the stories never saw it..though it happens like most parts of 9ja..but Benin just seem more upfront and in your face!!..even Benin people still tell me..and its true they try as much not to marry each other!!..

ReplyDeleteWow no wonder only 3 candidates passed JAMB. Your grammar is terrible; all of you! I cry for Nigeria
ReplyDeleteBLOOD OF GOD
ReplyDeleteThis comments can be used as a research to the stereotype attribute of each Nigerian, if you know Ifeoma doesnt mean you know Igbo people, if you know Ifueko doesnt mean you know prostitutes. many Nigerians even still believe that every northerner is a Moslem. hating other peoples tribe and loving yours does'nt mean your people are better people. we Pray for the institution cos the ex-Bursar has really done a lot of people wrong by putting their salary in fix deposit accounts and started borrowing money to staffs under her private scheme. she should pray for forgiveness not help at this stage.
ReplyDeletei tire for the people way they talk say bini people area fetish and all sorts, if you no like the place, go your own village, one person put coffin now na the whole bini people come become winsh. bunch of tribalistic people.
ReplyDelete@Anon April 2, 2012 9:39 AM...thank you oh help me ask them as if say na only this place juju dey. show me a tribe in 9ja without juju even our Honourable Linda's hometown have their own flight lieutenants.
ReplyDeleteas for Anon that wil NEVER marry a bini, I thank u oh cos dem no many for us sef so i less non-native to compete with!
I am a Bini lady married to a Bini man and neither of us grew up in fetish homes. We do not have any shrines as well. People should learn to stop generalising. I don't wanmt to talk about other tribes but for God's sake, some tribes visit Babalawos from the minute a child is born to find out about their destiny! WTH!
ReplyDeleteThey also go there to consult about suitability of life partners! Lets not even go there. Please!

ReplyDeleteBenin jazz might have come from Yoruba land (Ile-ife) to be exact but you know guys refined it and took it to the next level till the extent that you are schooling everyone on it...loool sorry my edo folks.
ReplyDeleteNothing ever scares Dr Mrs May Nwoye - neither hell nor hell fire. Baby, just shrug it off and carry on. Are you sure you do not have anything to hide?
ReplyDeleteI try not to be prejudiced against other people's race or tribe. I dated this Benin guy here in Houston. He was born here in the States. When he told me that his grandma back home is the head of one shrine and his mom told him never to eat at his granny's house I thought it was rather strange. Anyway, the guy was a piece of work, womanizer, sexaholic( yes he admitted to me that he is addicted to Sex), and just a hot tempered guy. I changed my number and informed security at my work to never let the guy come around the premises. This doesn't mean all Benin guys are like that this was my experience.
ReplyDeletepeople calm down, why is everyone talking like its only in benin that people do juju sef, that's wat is diving this country, 'dont marry from here' 'dont do dis and dat' in this time and age, the guy dat said he's parents warned him not to marry a benin person is just really silly, peeps shud learn to grow up.
