Why the May 30th IPOB sit-at-home order appeared successful- Gov. Okorocha

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has given an explanation on why the May 30th sit-at-home order given by leader of the Indeginous People of Biafra IPOB, was successful.

According to Okorocha, the order appeared to be largely successful because most traders in the region decided to take the day off since they had just observed a National holiday, Decmocracy day, just a day before the IPOB order.
Speaking at a press conference in the state capital Owerri yesterday, Okorocha said
"Let me correct the impression that the South East supported the seat at home order by IPOB. It is not true. Two factors that contributed to why it looks like there was seeming response to the seat at home order. One, the seat at home order by IPOB came shortly a day after democracy day and our people in their natural characteristic and behavior, would want to enjoy holidays as much as it can be extended. Secondly, the traders had fear all over the country of hoodlums taking advantage of the moment to destroy their goods and properties. So it is not true that the seat at home order was purposely obeyed as a mark of support for IPOB. Those who sat at home was not as a mark of support for IPOB. It was either for fear of being molested or also used that as an excuse to enjoy some extension of the holiday".

  12. Lies from the pit of hell! So crass! Rochas is and remains an opportunistic Hausa Fulani adopted bastard and a monumental fraud in Biafra land just like Nigeria. He simply benefited from the downfall of Ohakim who made a silly mistake back then and today Igbos have an Hausa Fulani bastard as a Governor in its domain. People who take him serious are those that has never been to that state to see he's a fraud and to hear from the average Imolite who now understands he's not a worthy son.

  17. Okorocha should be ashamed of himself. He is still experiencing sleepless nights after the success recorded in the seat at home order as ordered by IPOB. He feels terribly pained that even as a governor, he can't boast of the level of crowd under Nnamdi Kanu. This is pure jealousy. Why did he then sack his TC Chairmen and commissioners if his ignorant reason is anything to go by. Okorocho is just foolish and delusional. Wealth can't buy sense Mr!

  24. Your exellency, don't u think the first reason you gave should have made the people not to observe the sit at home if they weren't passionate about it. For the second reason, u just showed you haven't been close to your people. I was at Onitha Main Market a day to the sit at home & I saw the passion, enthusiasm & willingness to observe it. Anyway the most important thing is that u agreed it was SUCCESSFUL!

  26. It was a solidarity exercise. Rochas is a mallam, nobody should pay attention to his explanations. Igbos voluntarily stayed at home because, every Igbo person has a casualty of the Nigerian/Biafran war, it was their own way of remembering the fallen soldiers of Biafra.

  27. They stayed at home because the labours of our heroes past shall not be in vain. Nothing more, nothing less.

  28. It is like you have turned to IPOB's information minister. That was your personal thought anyway.Abeg park well joor.

  29. Makes sense. However, Rochas is a very lousy governor.

  30. Finally Finally Rochas Okorocha will regret it all soon. If he likes make him do all the charms in this life to protect himself. His time to regret is at this doorstep.
