Russian defence ministry plane carrying 39 people crashes in Siberia

A plane belonging to the Russian defence ministry has crashed in Yakutia, Siberia. The plane which was carrying 39 people, 32 passengers and 7 crew members, took off from Kansk before it came down about 18 miles short of Tiksi in the Bulun district of Russia’s far east due to bad weather.

It has been reported by Russia’s defence ministry that at least 23 of the people on board have been taken to the hospital with 16 of them in critical condition after the plane fell and broke into three pieces. So far, no death has been reported
