Does it mean that if an armed robber, who would have killed many people repent tomorrow, will he go to police station and tell them to arrest him?

  24. Well,i can only wish him well,if that is what his spirit has directed him to do. However,he needs to be properly educated on the things of God; cutting short his career on this premise is ill-advised.The Bible says in 2 Cor 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ,he is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things are become new.By this,he ought to have continued with his studies while wholely and sincerely serving God.God is no longer interested in whatever you did in the past but is concerned about you do now

    1. Sorryb@Ben and Billy it's ur type of misrepresentation of christianity that has fuelled moral decadence in the chuch today. U filter scripture to suite ur greed and misdoings. What this guy has done is the fruit of GENUINE repentance and born again experience. Remember Zaccheus in the bible?

      Delete
    2. Exactly.... You are so so right... The guy acted out of impulse and not what is right.... Well he should just go to the police station and go to jail my, so we know it's complete restitution... Nonsense... My people perish for lack of knowledge

    3. Christianity is not bread and butter, you will have to make some firm decision to keep up,
How does it sound, that someone stole N10m yesterday, and repented today, and start spending the money today, would you tell him "old things are passed away?"

When you become a christian, your way of life have to change, dressing, talking, conduct,.... You don't dwell on your former life, of sin, Like someone Who stole N10m yesterday, and repented today, and start spending the money, he is dwelling on the past life of sin, and such person is not genuinely repentant.

Now, he got to be a uni student on cheating, and he is a student as a result of cheating, and like I said, to be genuinely repentant, you leave your old life, you don't dwell on your past life, you don't spend the money you stole, you don't dwell/live on your past life.

It is nw up to d skul to pardon him.

He shouldn't have withdrawn but ask God for forgiveness and never do that again. After all all have sinned and come short of glory of God including from birth.
My take is that this is a fanatical repentance and when the dust settles he would regret his premature action.
    I pray for him.

  59. It really makes no sense to me. This is one of the people that are infatuated with being born again. If he got too much money to spend, why not give it to those hungry people in our IDP camps? This guy is a real ewu! I am a teacher, even WAEC knows students often need help in exams. He needs 36 lashes on his butt.

  60. i just hoped that he was the one paying his fees because if not, being in the shoes of his parents coupled with the present economic situation of this country

My take on this is even if he acted correctly the truth is that as a christian, you just cannot simply pay for all your sins, it is virtually impossible. The best thing he could have done is to ask for forgiveness and promise God never to go back to the sin of malpractice and prove this by writing his 300 level to final year papers without cheating. God is not bothered about the past like in the story of the prodigal son our heavenly father is only concerned about true repentance.
Finally no individual owns him or herself because if a person dies he or she would be buried by someone probably a loved one, what i am trying to say is that before anyone takes a decision as huge as this, he or she should seek for an advice form a loved one or a professional

    ReplyDelete
  61. What a level of faith?
Guess his Jamb score wasn't by cheating, so he has the grace to pass if he starts over then. I just wish the school forgives and he continue his study. God bless him.

  66. Restitution is d word! I read lots of comments with hate for ur guts; Forgive them for they knw not what true repentance is. Most people said old things are old things and u become new when u r in Christ and by asking for forgiveness, everything ends...TRUE but u still av to undo what u can and grace takes care of those u can't undo. If u stole a car on monday, drove it all around on tuesday and accepted Christ on a wednesday, do u keep the stolen car as a new creature when u shld actually return it? Restitution is deep and it takes only those who are led by the Spirit of God to understand.
