    2. Most times these so called asoebi are so sub standard that you never get to wear them again. People are just using weddings and burial ceremonies for business these days.

  4. Yes oh! I refused to pick one for 30k. By the time I calculated cost of sewing, air fare to and fro plus other expenses my head was spinning. Every kobo counts now Abeg. Brides shud really try and be considerate. Stimes u may never wear the so called cloth again.

  15. Me too i rejected one for 30k bridal train some bridezillas are just too wicked.how can you put such on people in this harsh economy?
You actually need your friends around as your bridal party you should provide for them they are like your models,we've gotten it all wrong in Nigeria i swear.
Some bride out there is making 400k from her bridal train alone.sister is your husband jobless?why settle for a jobless man?i really cant deal.
The economy is too bad its not compulsory to have a bridal party if you know you cant provide some things for them and even if they have to provide let it be minimal pls.its just poor and greedy people who do this because most richh people provide the basics for the bridal party.
Asoebi 20k,30k,50k,70k for a dress i would end up wearing once? sister your father and husband must be paupers
Thank u Betty for speaking out.

  25. Mrs Irabor ok fine but it is not proper at all to air this on Twitter by revealing costs as the Sender will be aware. You could have simply said you respectfully turned down a costly asoebi.

  30. BETTY IS SUPPOSED TO USE THE MONEY TO BUY 3 BAGS OF RICE FOR HER ......SO SHE CAN SEE WHAT 60K FOR COMMON ASHOEBI IS WORTH

  31. If d aso ebi comes wit benefits like cab to and fro as in air conditioned cab for d wedding den payment is a small tin

  32. This is a good example for all Nigerians in this economic meltdown. We should start budgeting and weighing all our expenses or else debts will finish us. A 5,10 or even 15 naira asoebi will not reduce the blessings on the wedding or even the quality.

  33. N later dem go follow us dey cry say no money

  34. 60k for aso ebi? Maka why?
