Married teacher who had sex with a female student is banned from seeing her children

Laura Garrigus,  a 30 year old married woman and mother of three has been banned from seeing her own children after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17 year old female student for several months.

Laura, from North Carolina resigned from her job as a teacher at the Cumberland International Early College after reports of her alleged lesbian behaviour emerged in December. She was arrested yesterday Feb. 8th after the teenage girl eventually went to the police and confessed to the consensual relationship.

The teacher has now been charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties and two counts of sexual offence with a student. She has also been banned from having any contact with children under the age of 18 including her two sons and a daughter.

When Laura was informed about the ban in court, she became very emotional and asked the judge:
 "Not even my own children?".
The presiding judge, Judge Cheri-Siler-Mack responded:
"You will not be around any child under age 18."
The alleged sexual relationship between the teacher and student was consensual, however, the teacher is charged under their state laws that ban sex between a teacher and their student.

  3. If I am president, all homos and lesbians will serve 25 years imprisonment. One homo and one lesbian will share one cell. Necessity is the mother of invention. When conji catch them, their brains will start working normally and the disease of gayness will be cured.

  14. How old are her children? Pretty absurd to punish the children so harshly, as for the court to strip the mother away. 17 is old enough that we're not talking forceful abuse of trust, one presumes. Court has no business forcing children into foster care, or forcing a divorce situation, when two consenting adults get together. Arguments persist that age of consent should be 16 or 17, at at the very least, penalties should be tiered and staged based on age. The judges sentence would have made sense for a much younger person, but not for a 17 year old. So ruin the lives of 3 young young people, to teach a 30 year old a lesson about how she needed to wait that whole single year (18) before engaging with that younger 'victim'? I call BS, and the penalty seems incredibly inexcusably harsher than the crime. Heck, half of you will turn around and search for such a sexualized encounter on youtube, and you'll probably find it. Mother daughter, teacher student, etc. Don't be naive and allow the state to overstep it's boundaries. State has no business enforcing zero tolerance in this scenario, and denying a woman the right to her own children, especially considering the woman never hurt, abducted, robbed, etc, anyone. Those children need a mother. Will the state and this judge take it upon themselves to replace her? How will her kids and husband feel about the new surrogate replacement state nanny? Give me a break with this fluff story. Judge should be embarrassed to have meddled in such a way. I doubt the 17 year old 'victim' will be scarred for life or deal with very much disruption at all. Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad, I'm hot for teacher. So bad, so bad, I'm hot for teacher. Judges decision to restrain the older laides rights to see her own children should be reversed, and shame on the judge for behaving so harshly where the punishment clearly exceeded the crime.
