APC National chairma bemoans loss of oil rich states to PDP, says Supreme court judgement in favor of Wike is astonishing

APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, has bemoaned his party's loss of important oil-rich states to the opposition party, PDP. Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross Rivers states, are all being governed by PDP-elected governors.

Oyegun expressed his sadness while reacting to the Supreme Courts ruling on the Rivers state governorship election.

According to Oyegun, the ruling which was in favor of PDP's Nyesom Wike, was shocking. He said this while speaking to some members of the party from Rivers state who paid him a visit at the party secretariat in Abuja yesterday February 3rd.
“I still find the judgment on the Rivers State governorship election totally astonishing. There is something fundamentally wrong in the Judiciary. We have lost very important resource-rich states to the PDP. No matter how crude oil prices have fallen, it is still the most important revenue earner for the country. There is obviously something fundamentally wrong in Rivers state which needs to be investigated and addressed.”he said

    ReplyDelete
  50. This Oyegun is a shameless person, a disgrace to eldership and leadership. So all that matters to APC is oil money and not the nation or her people?! ... No wonder PMB retains Minister of Petroleum! And you all claim to be fighting corruption?! Yoruba people talk about 'Omo-Ale ti n fowo osi juwe ile baba e' and is about your President who goes everywhere discrediting Nigerians. Even the Judiciary is not spared. All 'Mr Only Holy' wants is dictatorship, busy fighting those who have offended him in the past. I still wonder why he has not arrested IBB under one flimsy excuse. Those who sponsored or voted APC and Buhari will for ever regret that. Imagine that old Oyegun saying such rubbish, just because APC is broke, as if Nigeria belongs to them alone. This same Buhari will be the doom of all that sponsored him as well as the doom of APC. Nigeria will prevail over you all.

Wailing when it goes against them. How can a man sit down in his house after a hot meal of pottage and bemoan something fundamentally wrong with the judiciary. Without analysing the facts in issue. Is that how a leader reacts? Vacuous and utterly irresponsible, if i'm asked. A vapid way of thinking. It didn't favour me= something is fundamentally wrong. Tomorrow, they will say they want to 'reform' the judiciary, they will put their o yes men and the country will fall to chaos. Mr Oyegun, you forget that the fundamentally messed up judiciary upheld Ogun, Lagos, Ondo and many other APC states. Or to your inept way of thinking and your delusions, APC won all votes in all states in Nigeria? The whole world revolves around APC's butt?

2)Anyone who reads this interview and doesn't see the agenda of APC, is funny. Its clearly a battle for money and power, and not to help Nigerians. All they want to do is lace their pockets. If not, why bemoan loss of 'oil rich' states. How does that affect your change agenda? Are you not here to help the non-oil producing states make it? He has even calculated oil prices and their gain. Gives more credence to the rumours that Amaechi used a lot of Rivers State money to support APC. If you prod him further now, he will tell you that the loss of the oil rich states will spoil President Buhari's anti corruption plot. That's what they always say.
