Pics from the scene of the accident on Enugu-Onitsha expressway

Yesterday, I reported about a multiple fatal accident that occurred at PRODA bridge Ugwu Onyeama, Enugu-Onitsha expressway. (Read here). Two people were said to have died but an eye-witnesses who spoke with LIB said they removed at least five bodies and that the accident occurred in the evening of Friday Jan. 8th and not in the morning. See more photos after the cut..

  28. This is quite unfortunate and HIGHLY avoidable. One will say the fact that that piece of road is so bad that the FRSC are there EVERY week to attend to an accident should have prompted them to prompt the right authorities to fix that area. Then the SPEED of some drivers, wow. It's not just the SPEED, but awareness of the area, the road conditions, other road users. People need to learn to be more mature, but then again, this country doesn't have an appropriate driving school system anymore to each learners how to use the roads properly, as well as conduct them selves when on the roads. Awful! .....and it's a pity.

  80. Special prayers need to be conducted at that bridge. Ever since I was small, been hearing of accidents happening around that bridge. Maybe there's something about that bridge that draws blood every now n then. Pls motorists should be careful, the road is so bad that u can't even afford to go more than 40km,if not less. Yet I don't understand Y too many accidents occur there.

Linda I hv arrived, post my comment.
