Photos: Man allegedly commits suicide at market in Aba

Traders and buyers got to Ahia Uhuru market in Aba, Abia state early this morning to find a man dangling from a rope in one of the stalls. He is believed to have committed suicide ... sad! Another pic after the cut...

    6. Favour Ezeh I totally agree with u. His positioning is questionable. For start, death by hanging is quite difficult and a man's instinct is to try and "survive" when air circulation is cut. From the pic, u can clearly see that his arms can reach the roof of the shed and he could have pulled himself up. Also, I'll feets are so close to the ground that he could tip toe to save himself. This whole thing looks fishy to me. #JustMyHumbleOpinion

    11. Whoever killed this man would definitely be at that place taking pictures too. Which of the stools did he jump from?? Cos I was expecting the stool to fall, and not be in position. The stools are too far away. His body language is also not in keeping with this kind of death. Many clues and evidence of foul play. Let the authorities investigate, just dig a little deep. Comb all the people that witnessed the site that morning and you will find the perpetrators.
They have gotten away with murder. This is Obviously a homicide. Linda please this man should get Justice.

  30. What I find distressing is human beings actually snapping away. What is wrong with us??? No shame, taking pictures of a man in his most horrifying last moment.

  31. I wonder what would make a typical Nigerian man commit suicide. I know life is very hard but suicide is not an option. There are lots of depressed people in our world today who don't have anyone to talk to or to tell how they feel.

That's why we should all strive in our own way to give a word or two of encouragement to anyone around us. You will never know who you could save from depression.

  44. This is no suicide. This man was strangled and then staged to make it look like he committed suicide.
Take a closer look at the photo, his feet is just slightly above the ground. How was it possible to have climbed that stool and still push it away with ease. t
This is a homicide case, the police should investigate it before ruling it out as a suicide case.

  67. Why are people calling Buhari? Did we have better lives under Jonathan? Would all this questioning, investigation, return of stolen money be happening if Jonathan had been returned? Let's not give yourselves amnesia. Buhari did not cause the situation that led to suicide. Buhari is trying to clean up the filth he inherited in Nigeria's public life.

  68. Are Igbos this stupid and insensitive? Why take so much pleasure in doing paparazzi eith the dead body. The clowns are even smiling. I dont blame them. It is the absence of tourism sites that is turning this calamity site to a tourism site for these lowlives. They should take selfies with the corpse to crown their stupidity with an icing.
