Globacom transforms One Lagos Fiesta centres into sizzling fun spots

Globacom unleashed tons of fun on Lagosians at the recently concluded One Lagos Fiesta (OLF). OLF was a five-day-long end-of-year celebrations conceived by the Lagos state government and sponsored by Globacom. The fiesta happened simultaneously in five locations across Lagos State, namely Lagos Island, Agege, Ikorodu, Badagry and Epe.

For the five days the fiesta lasted, Globacom's pavilions in all the five locations became hubs of entertainment for fun-seeking Lagosians. The Glo stands featured facilities for all manner of games such as snookers, table soccer, spot-kicks, and video games.

There were also "Karaoke nights", which enabled Lagosians to try out their singing talent and win freebies; Comedy night, which featured some of the most popular comedians in Nigeria; celebrity nights, during which some of Nigeria’s most famous stars interacted with their fans in question and answer sessions, dancing competitions and many others.

Globacom also tapped into its rich collection of brand ambassadors who rank among Nigeria’s best entertainers, to excite fun seekers at the venues. The long list of Glo ambassadors who graced the stages in various locations during the fiesta included Odunlade Adekola, Basketmouth, Bovi, Pa Latin, Burna Boy, AY and numerous others.

Fun-seekers thronged the Globacom stands every day for the entire duration of the event. The fiesta climaxed with a countdown and a spectacular fireworks display simultaneously on the stroke of midnight of the New Year at the 5 locations.

Indeed, the Lagos State government commended Globacom and other sponsors for the success of the novel idea.

Speaking at the Badagry centre just before midnight, Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Oluranti Adebule, expressed appreciation to Globacom and other sponsors for keying into the One Lagos Fiesta project.

She said the contributions of Globacom and other sponsors made the first edition of the massive project the huge success it was.

A reveller at the Globacom pavilion in Ikorodu, Ibukun Oluwole said: "It has been fun coming to the Glo stand in the last couple of days and there has been no dull moment here".

Also speaking, Similoluwa Adegoke, a student, submitted that Globacom "has indeed added much value to the Lagos countdown ceremony and I am looking forward to seeing a bigger event come 2016. Glo is simply wonderful throughout this period".

At the Bar Beach Centre, a 20 year old aspiring dancer, Gregory Efosa said he practically made the Glo stand his abode for the entire five days. He expressed gratitude to Globacom for allowing his dance team to showcase their talent at the One Lagos Fiesta.

The grand finale was wrapped up by scintillating performances from up and coming artistes such as Ketchup as well as accomplished stars like Olamide, Nomoreloss, Dare, Korede Bello, Dija, Reekardo Banks, among numerous others.

The participation of Globacom turned the project into a massive entertainment project, whose memory will be cherished by many Lagosians for a long time.

    1. Bad-belle. Who God has blessed no man can curse. Basketmouth has made it and there is nothing anybody or you can do about it. Anybody that is successful, you people must attribute it to juju. Why dont people ever attribute success to God and let God take the glory? It just goes to show your mentality. Even if na juju, if God did not allow it, it will not work. So rejoice with successful people so that God can also bless you instead of having bad-belle for them. Idiot, Ewu. Anuofia. Ode!

    2. Basketmouth is not boring. He is very funny. Infact, he is my best comedian. You seem bitter. Release yourself from this bitterness because basketmouth doesnt know whether you even exist. So no tear your pant because of another man success. If e dey pain you, abeg drink water and take a chill pill biko
