Boko Haram attack Maiduguri this evening

Boko Haram members this evening attacked Dalori, a settlement in the outskirts of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. The attack was an attempt by the sect members to penetrate Maiduguri. Many people reportedly died from the attack while some homes were razed. Most of the residents have fled their homes for safety. Nigerian troops are currently working to restore normalcy in the area.

      Lai Mohammed did not say boko haram has been totally defeated. What he meant is that the military has recaptured all the villages that boko haram seized during Jonathan's administration. Cant you see from the post above that they are trying to gain entrance back into Maiduguri? Ode!

      Cant you see that they attacked the outskirts of Maiduguri not inside Maiduguri. They are trying to regain access into Maiduguri which means they have been defeated and driven away from the villages that they initially seized under Jonathan's watch.

      Boko haram actually ended in December. They are only trying to gain accesss back into Maiduguri because they attacked outskirts of Maiduguri not Maiduguri itself. They have been driven out of Maiduguri. Thanks to our Military men

      YES THEY WERE TECHNICALLY DEFEATED AND ALL THE VILLAGES HAVE BEEN TAKEN BACK FROM THEM THAT THEY CAPTURED UNDER JONATHAN'S WATCH. THIS IS WHY THEY ATTACKED OUTSKIRTS OF MAIDUGURI BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT ENTER INSIDE MAIDUGURI.
