Photos: Tanker drivers cause traffic gridlock in Lagos this morning

Tanker drivers heading to Apapa petroleum depot in search for petrol have once again parked recklessly on top of major bridges in Lagos causing serious traffic gridlock. Lagos state residents leaving the mainland to the Island are having a hard time driving as the traffic is really very serious. Some residents of the state who are on twitter say they have been out of their homes since 6.15am and have not been able to leave their neighborhood at about this time.

  1. If I have my way,all these heavy trucks & tankers would have a separate road.

  23. This is serious o! this traffic issue started yesterday and todays experience was worst (if there is any word better than that)... i had to trek from orile to costain because the bus was glued to the floor no movement due to traffic. i have to take series of pictures (close to 30) of different scenerio as i began my journey to costain so i can show my colleagues at the office.
Condolence to those taking that route tomorrow because they might experience the same thing tomorrow.

  24. Pls Ambode. The lawlessness in apapa shows to everyone that there is no government. How can trucks park indiscriminately. Buses taking one-way hence endangering the lives of pple crossing or walking on d road

  25. Say change.. Ambode is so clueless .. lol His still booting..
