Former Senate Leader, Ndoma-Egba, formally joins APC

Former Senate leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba, who resigned from PDP on September 17th, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ndoma-Egba, who represented Cross River Central in the seventh Senate, was at the APC secretariat in Cross River state today where he formally joined the party. While speaking to some of the party chieftains, Ndoma-Egba said
“I came to reciprocate the various courtesy calls paid to me by chapter chairmen of the APC from the ward level to the national body of the party and to tell you that I want to formally join the APC family.
For a long time, it was said that Cross River State was a one party state. For a long time it was, but it is no longer tenable today, because the action of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) created a large pool of IDPs (Internally Displaced Politicians) who still have political life in them and must continue in politics. So the IDPs must find a platform to carry on with their politics. As we continue consultations with you, I want to assure you that we are aware the party has a constitution and we must be bound by it. We want to come to the party with values of integrity, fair competition and a level playing ground. Fortunately PDP has given a template of what should not be done, that impunity is not sustainable. They have had to pay a high price for impunity. Whether they have learnt lessons from their impunity is what I don't know," he said.

  28. I think we should commend Gov. Fayose and Mr. Fani Kayode for their consistent nature. we need people like that to shape our democracy. Those who have benefited from PDP are now cross carpeting. Please APC and President Buhari should be very careful especially with formal PDP members. This are the people that will later say Nigeria as a nation is bad and move to another country instead of contributing meaningfully. Na wa o. PDP is bad, PDP is ugly, who is PDP?

  39. Had PDP won this election, would you be saying all this. Unpatriotic politicians. We're just greedy people. In the US u never hear a democrat denouncing his party and joining the opposition for whatever reason or vice versa. They always stay together to build a stronger party and prepare themselves for the next election.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Political Parties in Nigeria are not built on ideologies they are built on sharing formula and that's the reason politicians would ever continue to jump from post to pole. Make these offices financially less attractive and see if the game plan won't change.

  46. Forget this your story. Its about self interest. I encourage you to step in where you can gain

    ReplyDelete
  47. God forbid! This man is a disgrace! You served for 12 good years, and still wanted another 4 years as if the Senate ticket was exclusively for you, stingy unproductive human. If you like join heaven party, you can never win an election in cross river again.

  48. Our parties have no principles!!! Kai!!! They switch anyhow! No pride!! Just for the money!
It would be hard for a republican to just switch to be a democrat!!! In the US,the battle is fierce too,but the Parties have basic principles, they have their different ways of trying to make their country great...hence the debates!!! Ours is just for personal gains and stealing, mostly!
God help us...w need change,Buhari alone cant do it,the judiciary ,legislature and the citizenry as a whole must change- let us try to be upright,God will help us!

  55. Nigerian Politician are shameless.
This is a guy that came to be know in the circles by PDP and with only one loss they are all gone.
    What a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I can't be charitable about this. I think it's sheer political opportunism. The grass is now greener on the APC side. Would he have left PDP if Jonathan had won? Shows too why many people are cynical about politicians. They don't go for principle, just interest.

    ReplyDelete
  57. What an ingrate,a man that PDP made and he was a senator for 16years.This is a man without a party ideology.
