Timipre Sylva wins Bayelsa APC governorship primary

Former Governor of Bayelsa state, Timipre Sylva has won the rescheduled Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Election primary held in Yenagoa, the state capital today September 30th. The first party governorship primaries on September 22nd was marred by thugery and violence forcing the leadership of the party to cancel it. A rescheduled primary held today in which Sylva won. He polled a total of 981 votes out of 1147 accredited delegates.

  7. When he claimed he won in the cancelled poll, he was almost protested against the repeat polls!, but its same election he has won in an acceptable poll. Things should always be done right for justice and peace to reign.

  11. APC is bringing back the criminal back. When will this recycling of leaders stop. Are there no more reasonable people in Bayelsa APC? Anyway, he will fail woefully. South South States is strictly for PDP. Very soon Oshimole will be thrown out of Government house.

  12. This election is also referendum on Adams Oshiomole conpetence. The ressult is obvious. He is not to be trusted. He should focus more on Lara before Sylva pays him a visit.

  13. Lol, scam. A man formerly apprehended by the EFCC for misappropriation of funds now represents the party that's supposed to fight corruption. They can ask Saraki to resign for being on trial, but see nothing wrong from a corrupt former governor repping them. Smh, hypocrites..
