INEC officer, three other female bodies found in room in Anambra

The bodies of four women including that of a female INEC officer, Mrs Chinwe Obi, who was the electoral officer for Onitsha South Local Government Area have been found dead inside her home situated on Olisa Onyeka Crescent near the Commissioners’ quarters in Awka GRA, Anambra state yesterday September 9th.

According to reports, the other thee women believed to be church members had come to commiserate with Mrs Obi whose husband who just returned from Cotonou about a week ago had died in the same house.

The other three women were found dead with their bibles still in their hands.

The state commissioner of police, Hosea Karma said the police was alerted after several calls made to Mrs Obi were unanswered so family members decides to check on her and on searching her house, they discovered the bodies of all the women.

He ruled out murder as none of the women had any bruises on them.

He said their bodies have been deposited at the state mortuary while investigations into the matter is ongoing.

  14. Four people found dead under questionable circumstances ,after a man(the husband of one of them)died after returning from Cotonou ,and what the authorities do is to deposit the bodies at the morgue "while they investigate",crazy, are they not suspecting anything infectious and communicable ?,the spaced should be sealed off and the causative factor found before they move anything anywhere,Na wa for naija o,consequences of having some block heads in authority .

  16. Which kain Yeye police commissioner rules out murder because there were no bruises? Wat of poisoning? Food poisoning? Intentional gaseous inhalation? Our police have a long way to go

  18. Strange. If its not murder, then what could have caused their sudden demise. May their souls rest in peace.

  19. Shallow minded Nigerian police, they should employ scholars or practical graduates, if there are no bruises, cant poison kill, cant gases kill probably planted by some one, what of if something fishy happened and they were setup to appear how they were seen... Pls Nigerian police should watch more of ID or CBS maybe it will facilitate and enhance their system.

  25. Ruled out murder? Can the absence of bruises or physical marks be taken as conclusive evidence of the absence of foul play? And how can any conclusion even be reached before the conclusion of investigations. Haba!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Police should ensure that a postmortem is urgently carried out to rule out any foul play
