Photo: The moment Remi Tinubu refused to shake hands with Senate president, Saraki

This is a screen grab of the moment Sen. Remi Tinubu refused to shake hands with the new Senate President Bukola Saraki as she presented her certificate to him.  Her husband Bola Tinubu is not in support of Saraki's emergence as Senate President so there's fire on the mountain.

  1. And who the hell is Tinubu not be in support of Saraki been the Senate president? Nigeria is for all and not for the Tinubus and APC.

  8. Remi and her likes can only constitute stumbling block to Saraki but there is nothing else they can do about it. Our main problem is not corruption but ineptitude. By the way Remi promised prosperity to Lagos Central and we are waiting.

  14. She'll spend the next 4yrs as a floor member, no single committee inclusion and she'll be penalised for late coming or absence. She thinks Nigeria is an extension of her husbands polygamous family?

  35. I really support the 'Change' mantra but Oluremi Tinubu is utterly wrong not to have respected Saraki here.Wasn't she imposed on her people as a Senator herself? Av never been a fan of Saraki, never! But he was elected through a democratic process.APCs greed cost them dearly as they were against a level playing ground.PMB was very right not to have meddled in the matter.Democracy is about finding a converging point that will ultimately benefit the citizenry irrespective of social, religious or political inclination.

  37. Yeah I like that, she did it well, It is a regrettable lugubrious that Saraki, rebel against APC party who give him the platform to contest as a senator, What is evil is when the rebellion is used to truncate a noble objective. These man photographed above and Dogara, are rebelling against APC and Buhari’s determination to curb corruption in Nigeria and that is not a noble rebellion. The fact that they teamed up with a group of people already rejected by majority of Nigerians for corruption and mismanagement in order to realise their personal ambitions already proves, my point. Furthermore, Saraki’s uncomfortable body language during the coup at the senate chamber day before yesterday also indicated he knew he was on an evil mission. And has anyone listened to the speeches made by these men after their ‘victory’? There is no mention of corruption war in their agenda. This evil onslaught on the common Nigerian must not stand! His a corrupt man nd he must leave that senate president seat.

  52. Linda a beg na for their own mountain at bourdillion na him fire dey. the rest of us are at peace a beg!! haba! wetin??? na dem get Naija???

Lawan who actually vied for the office against Saraki, shook hands with his opponent. It doesn’t mean he has endorsed him and I’m sure he will still explore means to oust him. When Tambuwal defected to APC and retained speakership, these same APC members said there was nothing wrong with a member from the minority party leading the House. Why was it ok when it they did it and now wrong because someone else has done so??? Real double standards!!!

Who exactly was disgraced? The lady who behaved like a spoilt, immature child or the man who extended his hand as is required during the process he was presiding over?. That’s the problem with women in politics : overly emotional
