  21. May his beautiful soul rest in perfect peace. I wonder if these new generation singers Wld learn something from d demise of all these legends. That they are remembered for a great classic evergreen song they once sang to the world. Not junks like "nack me apkako" anyway. Artist like tuface has made us proud with "African queen" the rest should follow suit and make good and flourishing music.

  40. Wow! Linda, thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to mourn Percy. Children of nowadays will not understand what you are saying about this mesmerizing song. I was in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka when this song hit the waves. I remember my girl friend always used it to criticize and remind me how a man who loves a woman should treat her: "When a man loves a woman, he can't keep his mind on nothing else. He'd trade the world for a good thing he's found. If she is bad he can't see it. She can do no wrong ..... etc, etc". I did not believe the lyrics until i met my wife. RIP Percy Sledge. Thank you Linda.

  53. That was one of my best songs. But are we saying here that a woman gave birth to twelve children? An entire football team, like some people used to say.
