Look at this headline on Financial Times about Tinubu

Tinubu is now being described as Nigeria's Machiavelli? It says 'How a political godfather helped bring down a president'. Lol at bring down. I think he helped make GEJ a legend. I hear everywhere you go these days, people are giving Pres. Jonathan a standing ovation. He's taught all our politicians that politics is not a do-or-die thing...and if you get beat, you step the heck down.

That headline is a double edged sword Linda.Tinubu did help bring down GEJ looking at it from a political point of view. But when you see it with moral eyes, that's where your hero harshtag comes into play. But regardless of what they say,i'm only too glad that the nation is growing in ways i cant imagine. If only we can shove our differences,we'll be the envy of the world

  23. Machiavelli...dunno. But Linda abeg chill with your GEJ my hero crap. He just isn't one. I think you are confusing "graceful" with "hero". He lost plain and simple. It's not like he won nd was like "No I don't want Buhari take,I know you would do a better job" That would have being heroic! It wasn't just him invested in this election or even us Nigerians the whole world was watching! Jonathan has been annihilated in international media. He absolutely had no choice in the matter. So stop it Abegi!

Please stop it Linda, you give voice to a lot of us. People have come to rely on you for information and that puts you in a powerful position. It gives you the power to alter people's perception and stance on issues. So please be careful what you choose to write and stop pushing this annoying propaganda down our throats. If GEJ is your hero tweet about it,talk about it with your friends or something. Don't use this powerful medium of yours to promote the most ridiculous campaign ever. Do you realise you calling him a hero is disrespectful to other actual hero's like Nelson Mandela? Can you imagine what you are insinuating? Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is NO Mandela! So please STOP promoting him!

He most definitely is showing other leaders that there's more dignity in just stepping down if you lose. You can still make a difference on the sideline. At this rate he might win next time if he decides to run again.

Do u know how many billions of naira are in Jonathan's underground tunnel or secret bank account right now and u that( except Linda cos I know she has gained her own market share) are struggling for a meal or going through d rush hours of traffic to get to a work which inflation and tax has eroded d marginal benefits or even struggling to pay your children's school fees are here chanting his praise and sounding d trumpet of his misguided heroism. God help u my country. they are all thieves both Tinubu and Jonathan but one has been phenomenal and is an enigma or a colossus, but d other rode d wagon of time and chance and still failed to deliver d dividends or goods of good governance and also failed his people d Ijaws, so what are we talking about. Hush abeg!. It is when we Nigerians stop being foolish that we will begin to see clearly that bright lining in d sky.

  76. Can we kindly put this whole "GEJ is a hero" story aside now. GEJ's camp obviously wanted to stay in power by all means and it's obvious that they rigged/manipulated election results from the south-east and south-south. There were too many discrepancies in the results from those regions. How on earth could their party have kept getting millions of voters in Delta,Rivers and Akwa Ibom with no invalid votes? With such high numbers of voters, it's unbelievable to not have invalid votes.

The thing however turned out that their(PDP's) alleged manipulated figures still didn't match up with that of the APC eventually. Is that not also do-or-die politics? I think the real hero in all of these was/is Jega for standing his ground to be truly neutral to all parties. GEJ had no choice but to concede because the underground work by PDP failed and we all saw clearly on TV that he was defeated.

However, I must say that GEJ should be commended for making that congratulatory call to Buhari because that helped ease the tension that the nation had been subjected to over a few weeks before till that day.

    ReplyDelete
  77. many African leaders have stepped down in the past so why is GEJ celebrated. Please stop promoting medoocrity. After how many yrs of PDP linda do you have light or good roads, worthy of a great nation. Did GEJ steal or allow theft. What happened to the missing money, oil bunkering increased to appease the naija delta militants. Please. GEJ was scared of joint Gbabo in prison. Since when did any naija politican put the people first. Only igbos are praising him so don't say everywhere.

  102. Linda dear,
You have always endeavored to stay above the fray. I think you're getting too involved these days. It was obvious you were routing for Jonathan during the election. And the way you are over-blowing his concession call (which by the way is very commendable), is funny. You were the same person who said the woman that returned the money at the airport simply did the "normal" thing to do and did not deserve to be overcelebrated. Jonathan too did what is expected of someone defeated in a free and fair election. Slow your roll with all these hero/legend talk. I think Jonathan is a decent and gentleman, but a great president he is not. What he did is commendable, but he really didnt have any other option that will not destroy his name and our country. So he chose wisely. The election was too peaceful for any maneuvering - ask Orubebe!

I dont hate gej I just taught a president that screw up our economy does not deserve a second term. gej is the first president in Nigeria to loose in an election he also contested. gej is no hero or legend , gej is a failure maybe not a looser but arguably a failure. ***********emy $hmurda****** post my comment o *********hot nigga

    1. So is it tinubu's fault that jonathan failed the masses. In as much as people feel the election was rigged majority of Nigerians wanted jonathan out and theyvoted him out.
A good thing he conceded defeat for peace but then in an ideal society that is what is expected of him.

  111. Honestly i am sick of hearing that GEJ is a legend and a hero because he agreed to hand over to buhari. That is completely ridiculous honestly. What was he supposed to do b4? Fight? Disappointed in you linda. You said the airport cleaner lady shouldnt be rewarded for doing the right thing yet you are lauding and praising your principal jona 4 doin the right thing. Hypocrisy!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Linda please post my comment
First of all nobody should abuse you for supporting GEJ. That is your prerogative.

Second of all Linda you need to stop hating on Tinubu. He is a political mastermind. Even an objective international publication like the FT says so

Third of all, how can someone be a hero for doing what he is supposed to do? The election results were announced on TV and there was pressure from international community too great for him to stay in power. Goodluck had been abandoned internationally. There is nothing heroic about that

  117. I have the feeling that so many ppl claim that they know but they know not. What has Linda said that warrant all these threats and abuse from some faceless and illiterate e-warriors?

Ppl just continue to echo hate rhetorics against a particular tribe as if they can do more than just talk. Well, let's continue to watch closely how the 1naija thing evolve

  118. Legend?,no i dont think so, please be careful what you wish for there is a thin line between being a hero and a villain. The president did the right thing, he lost an election and he conceded victory. Why is it so difficult for people to accept reality?he did what any sane minded leader would do anywhere in the world, i do not think he wanted to end up like Laurent Gbagbo of Cote, divoire. So i applaud him for doing the right thing , he is not a legend, i am sure the early revelations of the levels of graft and resource mismanagement under his watch once Buhari takes over will take care of that.

  119. i could remember linda saying u don't over praise pple for doing d right tin wen she wrote about the airport woman .how come she's making a legend out of gej who wasted our national reserve for doing the right tin. you are simply an hypocrite

  122. You are a fool Linda. Your Gej signed an undertaking that if he loses he must accept it and move away. Nothing graceful about what he did. If he tried to resist, there would have been war.

  125. The president lost an election by over 2.5 million votes. its only normal he left. Stop hyping him or making bias comments. He was a failure as nigeria's president. Under him everything was wrong. Linda biko stop this

  126. Awww! Jonathanians, trying to make a legend out of their man and gladden their hearts Hero indeed!! Aint buyin that shit!!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Tinubu contributed to the wrestling of power from an opposition party that has been destroying nigeria for too long. Even the opposition boasted it was impossible. Its obvious you don't know him. Love you linda but ure wrong on this. All goodluck had was luck. A square pen in a round hole

    ReplyDelete
  128. Of Jonathan has really blazed the trail of political legendary. He really foresaw national disintegration and held it at bay by his concession of defeat. That is an attitude of a true leader.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Enough of d applaud for him stepping down. Wt was he meant to do ? Run away with aso rock ? He is not a legend. He is just a simple man with a good heart. He is not the first incumbent to lose an election in this country . Many governors have lost elections in their states and the states werent paralyzed as a result of dt . Let's not stretch the applaud for a man who did d only reasonable thing he could do at the time .

  131. Linda, you are very stupid and Tribalistic, what is the big deal in what Gej has done if not for the politicians mentality in Nigeria, your brother Gej is a failure so he must accept defeat, I know you don't want the change to occur so that LIBer can stick to your stupid 100k, you are a fool for that write up

  132. I Like u Linda, but i noticed so many things in you that's not quite alright. You were the same person that put in online that was it not a normal thing to reward the woman working at the airport for returning the money? why must we praise her for doing the necessary things? which shows that hypocrisy is in your blood if GEJ could be your hero (everything will be revealing when they do the transition). You were also the same person that had a problem with Yvonne Nelson and you stopped posting anything about her due to the conflict btw both of u. You did the same thing to Baddo of life as well (Olamide) bcos he called u out on twitter, which was a right thing for him to bcos u had never promoted Baddo before, but u were very quick to release bad news about him. I knew that you would have done the same thing for Wizkid, but u have no choice bcos of his fame. I pray that u remain on top bcos i will never wish someone to go down in life, but CHANGE your way bcos nobody knows 2moro. #My2Cent

  134. A man who lost an election because the majority of the population wanted him out is now view as a legend...if he was such a legend he would have done well enough to deserve re-election. when Africa refers to Mandela who stepped down when he could have ruled for more years a Legend, you call a Man who lost an Election and accepted defeat a Hero too. What rubbish. Anyway Linda keep doing what your paid to do

  135. Why is it paining so many people that Jonathan is being called a hero/legend. HE IS SURELY ONE. PEOPLE IN ENGLAND AND THE USA THINK HE IS A HERO FOR NOT ALLOWING THE COUNTRY TO DISINTERGRATE INTO ANARCHY.

  141. But the fact is the #change was imminent. I'm proud of Nigerians for not selling their future for chicken change. We are wiser and our leaders will do as expected. I appreciate GEJ for his gesture but really it was so obvious he was rejected by the people
