'I will be leaving office in June - Prof. Jega says he has no interest in continuing as INEC chairman

INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega says he will be leaving office in June this year when his tenure as Chairman of the electoral body ends. In an interview with BBC Hausa, Professor Jega said even if he is asked to continue in office, he would not.
"I am grateful to God. I was asked to come and contribute my own quota to the national development and I have done my bit to the best of my ability. Whatever assignment one will do for five years, just like this difficult one to me, if one is able to successfully accomplish the task, someone else should be given the opportunity. Because for me I am not interested & if I am requested to serve again, I will not do it, by God’s grace" he said.
Prof. Jega came into office in 2010 after the tenure of predecessor, Prof Maurice Iwu, expired.

  96. I AM NOT A POLITICIAN BUT I UNDERSTAND THE POLITICS OF NIGERIA VERY WELL. GEJ MAY NOT BE THE BEST PERSON TO LEAD THE COUNTRY AT THIS MOMENT BUT THAT DOES NOT REMOVE THE FACT THAT BUHARI VICTORY FOUNDATION WAS CRAFTILY PLANNED BY JEGA AND THE HAUSA FULANI DIRECTORS IN-CHARGE OF ALL THE KEY INEC POSITIONS SINCE 3 YEARS AGO. I REMEMBER THAT THERE HAS BEEN HUE AND CRY OVER THIS LOPSIDED INEC ARRANGEMENT THAT EVENTUALLY LED TO THE MASSIVE REGISTRATION OF CHILD VOTERS AND TOTAL MOBILISATION OF VOTERS IN THE CORE NORTHERN STATES BY VERY PARTIAL INEC DIRECTORS WORKING ON A REGIONAL AGENDA DRAWN BY AN ETHNIC CABAL THAT IS BENT ON SEIZING POWER AT ALL COST.
IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR SOME PEOPLE TO AGREE WITH ME BECAUSE OF THEIR PARTISAN AFFILIATIONS BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT JEGA HANDED VICTORY TO BUHARI TECHNICALLY EVEN BEFORE THE CAMPAIGNS.
WHY JONATHAN WAS BUSY CAMPAIGNING JEGA AND HIS PEOPLE WERE BUSY LAYING INVISIBLE LAND MINES FOR JONATHAN DEFEAT.
THE UNFORTUNATE THING NOW IS THIS SAME PERSON IS BEEN REGARDED AS A HERO BY BECAUSE WHAT HE HAS DONE IS WHAT THEY EXPECTED HIM TO DO AND THEN CALL IT NATIONALISM. I DEY LAUGH.
THE DANGER NOW IS HOW TO CONTAIN THE COMING UPRISING FROM THE NIGER DELTA AS A RESULT OF THIS TECHNICAL CHEATING AND THE GANG UP TO NAIL THE NIGER DELTA TO THE WALL. I KNOW BUHARI WILL GO 4 THE KILL BUT THAT IS WHERE HE WILL FAIL COMPLETELY BECAUSE THE EVER RELIABLE AND RUTHLESS SPIRITUAL LEADER( EGBESU OF THE IJAW NATION) WILL AGAIN HUMILIATE AND FEAST ON THE BLOOD & FLESH OF ALL INTRUDERS JUST LIKE BEFORE.
NIGERIA MUST START THINKING OF HOW TO START EXPORTING GRAINS AND FINISHED PRODUCTS FROM LAGOS & KANO FACTORIES TO EARN FOREIGN EXCHANGE TO AURGUMENT THE 600,000 BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM THE MAINLAND OIL WELLS.
THERE WILL DEFINITELY BE A FIGHT TO FINISH WITH THE MILITARY THAT BUHARI WILL UNLEASH ON THE NIGER DELTA PEOPLES SOLDIERS.
THE REAL & FINAL SOLUTION IS THE EXPRESS DIVISION OF THE COUNTRY ALONG REGIONAL LINES. WE ARE NOT THE SAME PEOPLE,SOCIALLY,POLITICALLY AND CULTURALLY,SO WHY STAY TOGETHER. WE MUST HOLD ANOTHER CONFRENCE SUPERVISE BY THE UN TO DECIDE OUR FUTURE BECAUSE WHAT WE HAVE NOW IS A FAKE NATION ,WE ARE NOT ONE .THE NORTH MUST STAY ON THEIR OWN TO PRACTICE THEIR SHARIA THING AND OTHER WAYS OF LIFE THAT IS FAR DIFFERENT FROM OURS IN THE SOUTH.
ONE NIGERIA SLOGAN IS A FRAUD MEANT TO HIJACK THE RESOURCES OF THE NIGER DELTA AND TURN THE AREA TO A CONQUER TERRITORY OF SLAVES.
WE KNOW BUHARI VERY WELL SO HIS ACTIONS WILL NOT SURPRISE ANY ONE ONE HERE. HE WAS DINING WITH THE LATE GENERAL ABACHA AND GEN ABDULSAMI WHEN KEN SARO WIWA AND CHIEF MKO ABIOLA WERE MURDERED BY THE STATE. WHAT DID BUHARI SAY THEN? NOTHING BECAUSE THE ACTION MET HIS EXPECTION AND THAT OF HIS OWN PEOPLE.
SIDDON LOOK NOW DOG NAME.WE ARE PREPARED FOR THE WORST.

    OSAMA CAYMAN
