10 governoship candidates in Lagos step down for Ambode

According to a report by Vanguard, 10 Lagos governorship candidates have stepped down to declare support for Akinwunmi Ambode, who is running under APC in the forthcoming April 11th governorship election in the state.

The 10 governorship aspirants released a statement today saying they have shelved their individual ambitions to be the governor of Lagos State to support the candidature of Ambode. They said;
"Without mincing words, we collectively as candidates of various political parties, have decided to join hands together with Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode of APC to give Lagosians a deserving government at this time. We unanimously give our unwavering solidarity to work together with Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode of the APC come 11th April 2015, slated by the Independent National Electoral Commission for gubernatorial election. We enjoin all our teeming supporters across the state to take this declaration and sound it loud and clear that Akinwunmi Ambode, is the candidate to take Lagos to the next level.”

  50. Jimi Agbaje (a good man?) is romantisizing with Bode George, a man of questionable character. They say show me your friend and I will tell you whom you are. A sheep that keeps the company of dogs will definitely eat faeces. A shit deodourised will definitely remain a shit.
    Someone asked "Who is the godfather in Lagos State PDP? Remember Bode George the ex convict, former Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority who was sentenced in October 2009 to 30 months in Kirikiri maximum prison for stealing billions of naira? He is the godfather of Lagos PDP. Bode George took lawlessness to prison when he refused to wear prison uniform. While in prison, he was celebrating and glamorizing corruption with his odouriferous booty that should have been frozen by the government. He was feasting everyday while other prisoners with picayune crime of petty thefts were fasting. His relevance in politics after prison ought to have been consigned to the garbage heap of history but not in Nigeria. And today Bode George is the godfather of Jimi Agbaje the new bride of the gullible voters who can not look beyond Jimi. I wish Jimi Agbaje well if he can assert himself and think of good name and family value that he preaches.

You know that APC comes bearing gifts cos they enjoy support at d top now,which bodes well for Ambode cos this will galvanise support for him in d gubernatorial elections and u don't want to be found wanting in d sharing of its goodies and d apportioning of appointments when d time comes. Smart move though

  61. Conspiracy at its peak. This is a plan B from Tinubu's camp. The only reason they bought the other candidates over is because Jimi Agbaje is giving them a run for their money. Imagine the negligible difference in figure at the presidential election for Lagos. Upon all the rigging and doctoring of figures APC could only stop at 160,000 over PDP. It's obvious PDP will take Lagos this time. As if all Tinubu has taken is not enough. He's desperately trying to get Lagos. JIMI AGBAJE FOR LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR. He is far more mature and competent to give us the Lagos we want.

  72. Political prostitution. Welcome to another one party state - which s the bedrock of corruption. Everyone needs to understand that the politicians are one party. It is left for us masses to organize ourselves as the opposition party and keep them in check. I am not a politician, neither do I have allegiance to anyone or any political party. But I will advise all to vote for PDP in Lagos state and every state so that we can have balance of power.

I find this very Ridiculous, I didn't even know that there are other governorship aspirant, secondly I think APC is playing serious politics because they are scared that the JK will definitely win(if APC don't rig). All I want is a free and fair Election in Lagos State then the true winner would emerge. we Lagocians also need change in Lagos, and the true change is JK, its not a matter of Party but the Candidate. Abeg are we not tired of 16years Slavery.... JK all the way.
