Desmond Elliot denies bribing voters after this photo hits the net

This photo of actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, with money in his hand and surrounded by people and the police, caused many to insinuate he shared money as some kind of bribe to get voters to vote for him. He's contesting for Lagos House of Assembly today.

But Desmond has since taken to twitter to deny he was trying to bribe anyone. See what he wrote after the cut

Oba of lagos use strategy campaign for Jimmy who is his blood relative using (reverse psychology ) and my ibo brethren fell for it. When will we start using our brains?     Desmond Elliot is one of the best directors, best actors in Nollywood. I am sure that he will also be a good and personable politician who will add value to our political culture. But he must watch his utterances. I don't know him personally, so let me not use the word arrogance. But in one his interviews he said something like, his children will grow to realize their father is a legend?! Already? Haba Desmond allow others to do that for you. If and when the time comes.     I believe Desmond last week Saturday i went to cleg in ojuelegba to fix my car and I saw Desmond campaigning on foot house to house, from one mechanic work shop to anoda, street to street. I shook hands with him and we discussed, he even gave me his tshirt....I have pictures and videos...I wish him success today at the polls.

    You know for the first time I can identify with a post on Linda ikeji I was at the new barracks police station that day it was on Friday not and election day desmond went to station to seek the release of some hausa bike men that the police arrested. When he was about leaving trust police officers Oga anything for us? Then he decided to buy them drinks.the woman in the black patterned dress is the drink seller. How much was desmond holding? R the police officers going to share 100 naira each? I saw the publication online and I was shocked Nigerian politics and propaganda. Kai
